I think Iran needs to learn a serious lesson from Syria. I think it needs to fall back, hunker down and focus on its self. I dont see any benefit for Iran or its people with continuing to support any groups in Syria to attack Israel or anybody else. I can understand the desire to continue supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinian resistance and the Houthis in Yemen, apart from them I think Iran should consolidate internally and look to improve relations with neighbours including Turkey.

Longer term thinking needs to take place to deal with challenges posed by the zionist and others.

I'll explain to you: supporting X or Y is not a question of benefit, it's a question of military defense. The creation of multiple fronts that wear down your opponents is a military strategy. For this reason, new "groups" allied to aytollahs will emerge in the coming years, whether Iran is directly attacked or not: One will appear within Syria, another is already appearing in the south of Saudi Arabia, one in Iraqi Kurdistan(Inside Iraq there are already several) and another may appear within Afghanistan itself. This tactic was approved by General Soleimani and clearly works. See that Libya and Iraq did not have this and were easily overthrown. The big problem is that the ayatollas have not yet opened up to the Sunnis but by hook or by crook they will have to do this soon, thus confronting the fake Salafist Wabahist heresy.

The USA, Israel, Russia and the European Union use the same tactic and have their "proxies" in various parts of the world.

People openly talking about greater Israel now. Syria is gone, Libya is gone and so are Sudan and Somalia. Iraq long sectarian fractured and a failed state along with Lebanon.

Nukes are the only thing stopping NATO from full-out invading Russia, so it works well as a deterrent. Ukraine is fighting because they'd rather be nuked eventually than losing the war.
