@Falcon29 what are they thanking Egypt for?

They're entitled to thank whomever they want. It has nothing to do with understanding like the OP suggests.

Egypt's military stepped in early in the conflict when Israel and US intention to ethnically cleanse Gaza was clear and was actually attempted. That would have went through had Egyptian military not quickly deployed in Sinai and near Gaza to prevent that. And had Egypt not made it known to Arabs that it won't tolerate that. I have a feeling some in UAE and Bahrain would have liked to see that even at expense of Egypt's national security.

The major operations by the resistance groups are as follows:

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Jan. 15:
  • In a joint operation with the Martyr Jihad Jibril Brigades, targeted the headquarters of the Israeli military’s engineering unit along the so-called “Netzarim” axis.
  • In collaboration with the Mujahideen Brigades, attacked gatherings of Israeli soldiers near Al-Bukhari Mosque, east of Jabalia Camp in the northern Gaza Strip, using mortar shells.
  • Conducted raids in the areas of “Mazaya and Izbet Malin” in Jabalia Camp, northern Gaza Strip, and planted two anti-tank “Thaqib” explosives. Hours later, detonated the explosives on two Merkava vehicles.
  • Detonated several pre-planted high-explosive devices along the path of Israeli military jeeps in the mountain axis (Umm Al-Qasab) in Jenin, occupied West Bank.
  • Targeted and destroyed an Israeli military jeep carrying a sniper team and infantry forces in Jenin, occupied West Bank.

Al-Quds Brigades' operations on Jan. 16:
  • Targeted Israeli soldiers and military vehicles that had advanced into Beit Hanoun with mortar fire and shelled the Nir Am settlement with multiple 107mm rockets.
  • Seized an upgraded Israeli military Evo Max drone before it could conduct spying missions in the northern Gaza Strip.
  • Attacked concentrations of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles near the grassy stadium in central Jabalia Camp, northern Gaza Strip, using 60mm mortar shells.

Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Brigades' operations on Jan. 16:
  • In a joint operation with the Al-Quds Brigades, targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles with mortar fire along the Netzarim Corridor in southern Gaza City.

This is Trump's revenge against Netanyahu. Because Netanyahu didn't support him during his election fraud case and went on to quickly congratulate Biden, lol.

According to the enemy's media

Hamas is pressing for the release of Hezbollah prisoners as part of the second or third phase of the ceasefire.

Israel postponed the discussion about them to later stages.

They can thank whoever they want, but we can also observe and assess those decisions.

Egypt hugely increased fees for Gazans to flee into Egypt for medical treatment, this is pure extortion to profit from their suffering. I think you know that.

"The Palestinian resistance demanded the release of Hezbollah prisoners in the next stages of the deal.

This is not the first time. In 1994, the Palestinian resistance succeeded in capturing the Israeli soldier Nachshon Wachsman, and demanded the release of a large number of prisoners, including 30 Lebanese prisoners."
