2 senior Supreme Court judges assassinated in Tehran, 1 more injured

Two Iranian supreme court judges shot dead

Ali Razini and Mohammad Moghiseh were killed after a gunman entered the court, in the capital Tehran, on Saturday morning.

The attacker killed himself while fleeing the scene, according to the judiciary's news website, Mizan. A bodyguard was also injured in the attack.

The motive for the attack is unclear, but both judges are said to have played a role in the crackdown on opponents of the Islamic government since the 1980s.
In a statement, the judiciary's media office described the attack as premeditated assassination.

It also said that, according to initial findings, the attacker had not been involved in any case considered by the supreme court. Officials are investigating whether anyone else is involved in the attack.

Crescent v. National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC)

I don't know the details, but seems like the NIOC lost an arbitration case against an Emirati company and has to pay $2.4 billion in damages, which is now enforced against the NIOC's building/assets in the Netherlands

fantastic security protocols as usual. how can someone bring a gun into the court building and same room as the judges when they are all together?

in any government building in the UK there are major security checks, but in the highest court of Iran anyone can bring guns into the most sensitive rooms with the top judges (let alone just the building) undetected?

absolute incompetence and quite frankly those in charge are akin to clowns
