Pakistan, the IVC, and a Land of continuous migration and mixing

Aryan race started out in the heartland of Iran which is around the Farsi areas and they moved both east and west as far as Antonlia and as far north as Armenia, Georgia and Caucasian mountains..
I do not know where you have got these from. None of this is true.

Who is the closest to the original point geographically? That would be the Tajiks and Pashtuns followed by Punjabis and note Pashtuns and Punjabi lands border each other then you got the Zindhis also sitting pretty close to the original point.
Wrong again.

This is seriously worrying, that such pseudo-history should get an airing.

Majority of the incursions came from the current day Pakistan and Afghanistan territories interexchangable and these people have never left because we are not talking about ancient history it was like 2000-3000 years ago.

If you also check the maps of the previous Persian empires pre-Islam majority of the time both Afghanistan and Pakistan were part of the Persian empires
Once you are read up on the history of the speakers of Proto-Indo-European and their locations and subsequent movements, you might even contribute meaningfully to this thread.

I object to this part of an otherwise deeply acceptable post. None of today's nation-states can claim cultural or historical descent from the IVC. There is evidence of genetic descent but that ramifies far and wide, not merely to the locations that constitute today's Pakistan.

Agree, all South Asians have varying amount of IVC DNA in them. Though I think there's a cline that runs NW to South, and West to East in the Gangetic region, and then there's variation based on caste. A bit complicated.

I wish I had posted this!

I replied in kind…as was deserved. Look at the hateful creature and the sarcastic undertones he has been using. What kind of a response do u expect?

Apologies if my tone came across that way—it was intentional sarcasm, as I’ve been responding to similar posts in the same tone throughout the day yesterday. While I’ve been on the receiving end of unreasonable name-calling from some posters, I honestly find it amusing to respond in kind. That said, I didn’t mean to make you feel that way, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

A good moderator presence really elevates the discussion, and I can see how Joe Shearer’s involvement is making this conversation much more productive and engaging.

Genuine question, why do you people care about this shit so much.

I mean you have not kept the religion that came out of that civilization and settled for something from Middle east. Wasnt that your biggest point of Lahore declaration? A separate nation?

You do not even allow the language that originated in your lands to be an official language and take up Urdu and English as your official language.

So why care about IVC or anything like that? You erased "south asian" identity willingly. Why pretend to care about the past that you despice so much?

Indus civilisation is part and parcel of Pakistan.

I would have agreed with 9 out of 10 posts by you, but held back due to the combative tone - sarcasm and amusement in this context came across as hostility. While it is not right to comment on someone else's style. do take a look at the posts by Oscar, FuturePAF and Maira La; that is what I aspire to, and that is what I would set before all of us as examples of facts and sensible assessments put forth in a cool and calm manner.

Read all your posts with interest, but the element I mentioned restrained my positive responses.

So, what do you propose we do with sites in India like Dholavira, Chanhudaro, Alamgirpur, Rangpur, Daimabad, Surkotada, Kalibangan, and Lothal? Should we call them something like "IVC but not quite IVC"?

You do whatever you want to do.

Remember this Indus priest king belongs to Pakistan.

I appreciate your feedback and thoughtful critique. I’ll definitely try to rein in my combative and sarcastic tendencies moving forward. It’s just that when I encounter unreasonable, silly arguments and name calling, sarcasm often feels like such an easy shortcut to counter them.
