I did note the wording in his speech:

I'm pleased to say that, as of yesterday, one day before I assumed office, the hostages in the Middle East are coming back home to their families.

The word hostages could refer to prisoners on both sides. I find it amusing that he did not explicitly say Israeli hostages. He knows he has to appease the Zionists but his ego resists it, and he likes to slip in these zingers to let them know who's boss.

As I said yesterday, releasing the Palestinian prisoners/hostages was good but Israel would simply incarcerate thousands more from the West Bank. Yeah, some kind of 'exchange' going on!! It is not any exchange when one side gets all its people get while grabbing thousands more from the other side!!

I can't say if Trump would've been better or worse but I don't think Palestinians launched Al-Aqsa flood because of the American president. If the Israelis made credible threats of building the 3rd temple during Trump's presidency you would see another attack.

The major concessions were just official acknowledgement of reality on the ground. Are there specific concessions you're referring to? I agree all US presidents are Israel supporters but only a few have reigned in that rabid dog and they are usually Republicans - Raegan, HW Bush, Trump.

Before anything else the murderous israeli campaign needs to be brought to a stop. Outside of declaring war on Israel only an American president can do that and Trump has delivered. Now, if the cease fire holds, we can discuss the future without thinking of the bloodshed.

I've noticed similar things in his speeches/interviews on Ukraine and Russia as well - e.g. "The killing needs to stop". Unlike most of Washington he humanizes the people they're fighting against by leaving out important qualifiers.
