His problem was he was trying too hard to fit in even though there was nothing effable about his sleazy and nerdy personality. Everyone knew the scam he ran to make money and being a proto typical cheapass... wasn't going to finance Trump/MAGA on par with the Musks and Zios of this world. He had to be put out to pasture especially after Ann Coulter exposed him as a wanna be whitey self loathing Indian...

His ill-conceived and ill-thought diatribe against American culture was only the last straw...Musk wasn't going to accept this little darkie as his equal in DOGE scam for too long...

He could have gone far farther if he had emulated Barack Obama., who had even bigger hurdles to cross. Obama is the complete opposite of Ramaswamy - he celebrated American culture. He made no enemies (other than Trump). Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal, Kamala Harris all achieved much better success coming from similar background.

People are trying to read too much into his actions. I don't think there was anything racial; he just got too cocky with success and ended up doing a Kramer, i.e. blurting out things which people normally say to friends.

It's fashionable to trash local culture; it happens in every country.

Barak was articulate, charismatic and likable, came in selling populist policies (even though he reneged on those as soon as he got the power). Being a mixed raced (half white) person brought up by a white family as a Christian was still palatable to the American public.

He wasn't as repulsive as a Hindu with their demonic religion alien culture as Vivek was ultimately perceived by MAGA and the remaining republican masses.

Bobby, Nikki, Kamala were all much more assimilated who embraced their new found american/christian identities and were brought up as politicians knowing who to pander to and what key words to speak over and over, Israel first, Muslim/Islam bad, corporations/wall street good, workers be damned...Vivek just wasn't smart enough to adapt but ultimately his downfall wasn't what he said or did, rather who he was...an unlikable, dark skinned, vertically challenged, sleazy demonic hindu grifter...
 
He is more liability because he is borderline scammer, nothing to do with his race and background.

It happens. Over time it gets easier to deal with. It is fascinating, for instance, to read the posts from fringe elements from Pakistan and from India, with their posts reeking of hatred. The more I see these, the more I thank myself for having successfully nurtured a private group, where Indians and Pakistanis interact with zero bile or ill-will, but withno lack of vigour and energy. The funny thing I have observed in that tiny little group is that the Indians are the strongest critics of India and other Indians, while Pakistanis are the strongest critics of Pakistan and, mildly, of other Pakistanis in the group.

It is extremely interesting to see the differences in the quality of the interaction there, and here.

His background, looks, religion etc., had little to do with his problems. He was needlessly aggressive in his speaking style, exhibited no compassion to anyone, came off as a pure capitalistic pig. Most of all, he is really an inexperienced politician running a race for the first time in his life and achieving success far beyond anyone in his shoes can be expected to achieve. He will definitely, if he puts his mind to it, and learns from his mistakes, become a congressman or a Governor. Presidency is always a crapshoot. He has to get some serious lessons on being humble.

To me, he came across as creepy. The kind of guy from whom you would never, never buy a used car.
