The credit for this goes to Nehru and his Congress party. You have to give credit to them that they ensured that the Fauj remained backstage and the netas monopolised political power (shared a bit with babus only then and now with tycoons)

I chuckled twice, first at your effort to recover my name from the small pool of Dadas whom you have identified and named (perhaps that should read 'the small flock of Dadas), second at the insightful discovery that you made.

Then I sat back and laughed long and loud, thinking of your expression when you saw the changes made in your original scurrilous language.

Example - I am from small city and my father was working another city when he got the government job, and relocated from UP.

So I used to visit UP and my father's native place when I was under teen age... Seriously I used to hate it.... No electricity, no proper transport and still were using old methods by farmers, road infrastructure was almost null from one state to another was taking almost double time compared to today.

I can give a lots of examples actually - anyway before the 1990s, india was considered as a poor country..

I visited South Asia last year. I visited Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and India ending with Maldives. Then 6 months later I visited China, far east Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azeribaijan, Iran and Tajikistan.

I noticed one thing India´s infrastructure is beyond poor perhaps worst infrastructure and worse then mountainous Nepal. I was surprised by Bangladesh as having the best infrastructure in South Asia by a landslide most people have no idea how well Bangladesh is build.

Pakistan is second it has great roads and especially Islamabad is beautiful perhaps one of the most beautiful cities I have visited with the way nature and infrastructure is mixed.

But overall as soon as you enter from Indian border Pakistan surprises you it has good infrastructure in comparison. I was kind of surprised by even the tiny details such as the gas stations, motels, restuarants, large clean roads etc etc the Infrastructure is much better and everything was clean and people were extremely chill which adds to the beautiful nature and good infrastructure people arent in your face but they keep distance and just chill overall.

I was just like this guy when I entered Pakistan from India and the place I loved most was Baltistan it has many beautiful district and valley´s with gardens each one better then the other.

If we don't get good leadership, we're not goin make it.

Can't live off of loans all our life.

Leadership comes from within. We are morally bankrupt people with no sense of honor nor any concept of courage. We are highly tolerant of our oppressors and disperse like little chicken $hit pu$$ies at the first sight of resistance and adversity. No able leadership can ever emerge from our lot. We are doomed to live a life of eternal ignominy

India will spend nearly Rs. 143 lakh crore on infrastructure in seven fiscals through 2030, more than twice the near Rs. 67 lakh crore spent in the previous seven years.

Without going to whether our infra has improved or will improve over the next 7 years here is m2c-IND's nominal GDP grows almost effortlessly at 10% p.a. (5-7% real plus inflation 4-5%). By rule of 72, the nominal GDP doubles in 7 years. Corollary- in any consecutive block of 7 years, you will find that the spend on infra (or almost anything else) doubles over the previous block of 7 years.

That is simple mathematics, really.

sir, i have report, India, its infrastructure-economy-quality of life etc, is considered atleast above countries like Indonesia
and with my experience, this is something written on wall for me .....

Then you need to tear down that wall and build again.

The per capita income in India is $24890.80, that of Indonesia is $4876. 30, or double that of India.

It is a cruel joke when people brag and strut around and parade false notions that mock the poverty of those worse off than them.

With contempt.

The spending on infrastructure is fine and good; government should be doing this, and should spend the tax collection on this. It is not their gracious gift to the people, they are doing their duty. This is generated by the increasing prosperity of the country, that is sadly restricted to the top 1% of the population, while the bulk of her people struggle with poverty. The credit for the spending on infrastructure, due to higher government earnings, is credit that should be given to those years of patient governance and good administration that led to this prosperity. It did not happen overnight.
