Saudi FM in Lebanon for first visit in almost 15 years: state media​

BEIRUT: Saudi Arabia’s top diplomat landed in Beirut on Thursday to meet the country’s new leadership in the first visit by a high-ranking official from the kingdom after more than a decade of strained ties.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, arrived at Rafic Hariri International Airport,” Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported.

He is set to meet Lebanon’s newly elected President Joseph Aoun – whose candidacy is widely believed to have been backed by Riyadh and Western countries.

Reeling from years of economic collapse and a devastating Israel-Hezbollah war, Lebanese leaders have pinned hopes on wealthy Gulf states for desperately needed reconstruction funds.

Israel failed to control this hill during the fighting with Hezbollah. They took it during the ceasefire.
 
Nazi IOF leveled an entire apartment in central Beirut killing 23 babies to target 6 alleged Hezbollah fighters— none of them confirmed.

62 civilians killed. Mind you, this is just ONE of the multiple apartment buildings leveled.

Lebanese "government" won't do anything.

As the "ceasefire" with Hezbollah will be over soon, then it should be more rocket and ATGM attacks on the Zionist terrorists.

Are we positive Israel will withdraw ? If I'm Hezbollah I may allow another 30 days. If they're still there, then you attack their forces inside of Lebanon without firing on Israel. Push them out of southern Lebanon. Otherwise they will stay indefinitely (imo at least one year ).

Hezbollah approved and agreed to the ceasefire. So they are onboard. It might be that they feel the situation is too dangerous in the region and need Gaza to calm down first , before moving to push out Israeli forces. Or they also view Israelis in Lebanon as a buffer against potential incursions from militant groups in Syria.

Hezbollah authorised the Lebanese government to negotiate the ceasefire and to entrust it with responsibility for ensuring it is followed.

Hezbollah doesn't want to resume the war because it knows Nazi Israel will punish Lebanese civilians again, not because it fears a war with Israel. Similar to Gaza/Hamas, except that Hezbollah is not the sole governing party in Lebanon while Hamas is in Gaza, which makes things more complicated for Hezbollah.

Israel will not withdraw by this Sunday, but we don't know how long the 'extension' will last or how Hezbollah will respond.

Israel has advanced far more under the 'ceasefire' than they were able to during the fighting.

Hezbollah doesn't need to resume the war. It's well within its right to mount strikes on Israeli forces inside Lebanon. If Lebanon says Israeli's overstayed and are violating the agreement, then they can strike the forces inside Lebanon. No need to fire rockets at Israel. But they need Lebanon to say it. If Lebanese state says mediators agreed to another 30 day extension, then that's different and they would then wait till that period is over.

Large groups of Lebanese people plan to return to their homes in south Lebanon after the deadline for Israel to withdraw from Lebanon expires tomorrow

during this ceasefire Israel has managed to reach areas of south Lebanon it was not able to reach after months of fighting

That's why everybody in the region has to work together to break the status quo. Hamas in Gaza went with 'point of no return ' mindset, if we are to neutralize the Israeli terrorist threat, then all of us have to reach that point. I think the region will as Israel continues to play Pharaoh with backing of US.

God doesn't like people playing Pharaoh. For all we know, God set up a trap for them. I think Zionism and it's associated ideology is heading towards retirement phase
