r1 is not inferior. if it's inferior it wouldn't gain this much traction on Twitter and cause a huge selloff In stock market lol Nvidia is a Chinese company just as much as tsmc. Tsmc founder was born in China and they all speak mandarin lol I consider Jensen Huang as one of our own.

Elon musk is Elon. I don't consider a Chinese at all maybe a comrade lol lam research is also a Chinese company to me. Indians also claim many Indian CEOs as their own it's pretty normal stuff lol

R1 is inferior to an old OpenAI model. It’s only gained traction due to its pricing, which DeepSeek is almost certainly lying about. Hence the Wall Street panic selling.

NVIDIA will be fine, their moat is huge, and demand for compute will skyrocket in the coming years, as American LLMs will be training off of millions of NVIDIA GPU clusters.

And no, NVIDIA is not Chinese. 🤣

Overall it’s an inferior model to an old OpenAI LLM.

OpenAI is now done with o3 and training o4, and in the the final months of GPT-5.

Deepseek is ultimately a ChatGPT reskin, and lying to the public about its costs. Even Elon laughs at the supposed cost
