Also containers at the back of the ship are probably for firing ballistic missiles.

This ship has a lot of offensive power, but its defense power is low. I think it would have been better to put defensive VLS missiles behind the ship

Report | IRGC Unveils High-Speed Vessel ‘Tariq’

The IRGC Navy has unveiled a new high-speed vessel called Tariq, capable of reaching speeds of at least 180 km/h and firing cruise missiles.

🔹 Stealth Design: The material and design of the hull make it appear on enemy radars as a small fishing boat, significantly reducing detection.

🔹 Operational Advantage: This gives the IRGC tactical superiority in naval warfare, making Tariq a highly maneuverable and deceptive threat.photo_2025-02-06_13-39-28.jpg

At the bow, in addition to the twin SAM launchers and the naval turret armed with a 30mm 2A42 automatic cannon, there is a shielded weapon on each side, which could be the same gatling seen on combat catamarans,

two others are at the extreme stern not shielded that can be glimpsed in this photo

I think the Houthi’s attacks have shown contrary to public opinion a standard cargo ship is actually a pretty durable ship with many surviving a CM strike and even a BM strike.

One only has to look at collisions between Cargo Ships and U.S. destroyers and see how much damage the destroyer took vs the Cargo ship.

These things are massive and built stronger today than Iran-Iraq war, so assuming Iranian engineers did even a MODEST reinforcement of the structure than thing thing will be hard to sink.

However, disabling it is another story. One or two heavy hits to the tower and this thing is disabled from launching attacks (just speedboats and missiles).

Will def need to be escorted by 2-3 Solemani class catamarans + and future IRGC heavy vessel(if they build one).

VLS???. It need to be confirmed. Wow!!!.

Edit; checking the Google Maps ISOICO shipyard and the slipway where she is laid down, the bow shows clearly 4 openings very similar to those of the Soleimani class.
@sahureka2 what is your oppinion?. You´re master measuring google maps images.

yes, possible, in the recent photo I indicated it in red, but from your satellite photo, today there is also another superstructure (indicated in black) which could also be used for VLS.
However, it is advisable to wait for new images for the necessary confirmations.
