Also containers at the back of the ship are probably for firing ballistic missiles.

This ship has a lot of offensive power, but its defense power is low. I think it would have been better to put defensive VLS missiles behind the ship

I think the Houthi’s attacks have shown contrary to public opinion a standard cargo ship is actually a pretty durable ship with many surviving a CM strike and even a BM strike.

One only has to look at collisions between Cargo Ships and U.S. destroyers and see how much damage the destroyer took vs the Cargo ship.

These things are massive and built stronger today than Iran-Iraq war, so assuming Iranian engineers did even a MODEST reinforcement of the structure than thing thing will be hard to sink.

However, disabling it is another story. One or two heavy hits to the tower and this thing is disabled from launching attacks (just speedboats and missiles).

Will def need to be escorted by 2-3 Solemani class catamarans + and future IRGC heavy vessel(if they build one).

yes, possible, in the recent photo I indicated it in red, but from your satellite photo, today there is also another superstructure (indicated in black) which could also be used for VLS.
However, it is advisable to wait for new images for the necessary confirmations.
