Anything is possible in the current Trump administration and not just in the Middle East. He is upending or at least trying to upend many things domestically and away from America. He and his team is in a mad rush to take advantage of the two years till the Nov. 2026 Midterm elections to do as much as possible. Lots of people are nervous everywhere. And I can't say I disapprove of all of his policies except my vote against him in 2024 was because of what I guessed he'd do for Israel; I voted for him in 2020!
So, yes, it is possible Israelis would go after the demolition of Muslim Holy Places within next two years, repeating what the Indian Hindus did to Babri Masjid decades ago. Netanyahu knows that he has his greatest ally in the White House, backed by millions of fanatics in the Evangelical Christian community. Anything is possible. My only hope is that even Trump would realize things could go out of hand and stop Netanyahu.
