Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.

Hopefully they don’t shoot down an F-18 accidentally like last time 😂😂😂

Working for their Zionist masters I see lol
Partially but it is also about the disruption of global trade in Bab el Mandeb and the Red Sea overall being one of the most important trade routes on the planet.

Not to mention that Houthi rule/occupation of northwestern Yemen is a huge burden for the development of Yemen as a country and Yemenis as a people. They don't own the anti-Zionist/Israel rhetoric/struggle (practically everyone in the Arab and Muslim world is opposed) nor have their actions deterred Israel as the past 1.5 years of events on the ground confirm. If they want to play a political role in Yemen they should transform into a political movement. For Yemen to become a successful nation again all militias/non-state actors must come under state control. As well as Yemeni reconciliation occurring between the warring parties. If not Yemen will remain a failed and divided country with Yemenis being taken hostage.

This will not change much on the ground. Due to the geography and sheer size of Yemen air campaigns on their own will not lead to a permanent solution at all. You will need boots on the ground but nobody is willing to risk that for the sake of northwestern Yemen which other than mineral wealth has few resources (unlike other parts of Yemen - which all happen to be ruled by non-Houthis).

It can be done (Nasser's Egypt) but at a HUGE cost. Today even much more so. Not worth it which is why I don't believe that we will see American boots on the ground in Yemen. The US has bad experience with Yemen (USS Cole in 2000, failed rescue missions against AQAP etc.)

It will be much worse than both Iraq and Afghanistan. Combined.
Unlike in Afghanistan (where the tallest mountains are completely barren and devoid of humans) most population centers in northwestern Yemen are located 2000-3000 meters above sea level, including the capital Sanaa (one of the highest elevated capitals in the world) not to mention that Yemenis have the highest gun ownership per capita in the world after the US. In certain areas of Yemen it is not uncommon to see 10 year old males carrying semi-automatic rifles. Not to mention an extreme tendency for tribalism unlike anything else in the Muslim world.

IIRC, the Brits had a tough go of it as did you (the Saudis).

Personally, I hope we don't send troops in including Special Forces.
