You guys know that Boeing has been making aircrafts longer than Mao's party has even existed or China was a real nation. Never underestimate the company which seen more time than all. Respect old guys in a profession where most die young.

Yes, Boeing used to be an amazing company. They were created by American engineers devoted to their craft and not giving a **** about eeking out profits and cutting corners. It was an engineer run company and was excellent. Then the executives of McDonell Douglass took over and outsourced a lot of the software work and design to India and from that point on, Boeing has been plagued with issues and a disastrous safety record.

ALL businesses are about making profit and only profit first and foremost.

If the issues were this simple, its fix would be even simple : Replace all software and move it inhouse.

The issue was not this at all.

Anyhow, this is not the first time a long timer business has been writtern off by the upstarts. This will not be the last time when upstarts will find why the old timer has been around so long.

We haven't seen what the Aim-260 looks like but it exist and the F-117 entered service before it was disclosed to the world.

Of course WE know that, but the anti American crowd can’t seem to wrap their heads around it. Now that the President has announced it flanked by SecDef and Air Force Chief, that should end all debate.
 
Boeing has manufactured the F-15, F-18 Super Hornets, and EA-18G Growlers. They’re perfectly capable of executing the F-47 program

The wumao hate in here is delicious. Their panic tells me they were hoping the pause by USAF was permanent and now they find out it has been flying for 5 years and is a mach 2+ fighter which the the J-36 isn't.


LM is going to be busy for decades with F-35 and NG with B-21 so I'm glad Boeing got their sht together and was able to pull this off. So the haters know Boeing won but they can also ask LM and NG folks for assistance.
