ICJ ruling on SA's case against Israel

The important factor here is who has the responsibility to enforce the ICJ verdict. If enforcement can be vetoed by the UNSC then the ICJ would be mindful of that reality and issue a verdict that would have a reasonable chance of being enforced.

It is not a verdict at this stage.

Yes the verdict gives maneuvering space for a diplomatic solution. Only problem is the present Israeli leadership have no vested interest in a diplomatic solution. Netanyahus popularity has crashed and post this conflict he will be ousted unless the war is "won" as per the Israeli conditions, which are ludicrous conditions.

Sir, it is not a verdict yet.

It means that the case for genocide against Israel will and needs to be heard.

It means it is a ruling and not a verdict. Legally. That is all I can say.

No longer can Zionist apologists slander those who describe Israel's actions in Gaza as a genocide.

The Zionists celebrating the interim measures should wait a few months. There is no way Israel will comply with these legally binding measures.

Sadly, tragically the case will only get stronger.

That's why this has to be thought of as a general pressure point against Israel, in a broader context.
