What is the MOST interesting part of this entire episode is the amount of the seething and gritting Chinese folks of different kinds have shown about American sixth gen fighter. First crying that it could not be flying for past five years, then crying it is not true sixth gen.. and finally blaming cannards...

This part is obvious. The Chinese have been told by the CCP that the Americans can't do anything now and that they are the future of technology. They want the kind of innate recognition given by the rest of the world to the US - i.e., 'cutting edge technology will obviously come from the US'.

Now the Chinese are basically baffled that even though they have a large economy they don't get the kind of inherent recognition that the US gets.

This part is obvious. The Chinese have been told by the CCP that the Americans can't do anything now and that they are the future of technology. They want the kind of innate recognition given by the rest of the world to the US - i.e., 'cutting edge technology will obviously come from the US'.

Something else I noticed with others who have been discussing in another circle: with so many here fapping themselves over China's alleged dominance with two flying examples of 6th Gen aircraft, everyone observed just how much the engines were smoking. Seems the Chinese still have some work to do in that area.

Or, perhaps both those planes are prototypes themselves.

No one saw smoke coming out of the engine of China's sixth-generation aircraft. The Americans are lying again to discredit China.

We don't need recognition from other countries, we just need to follow our own path. Everyone saw the first flight of the sixth-generation aircraft prototype. The Chinese government did not hold a press conference to promote the two sixth-generation aircraft. Compared with the United States, China is very low-key.

We will not deceive everyone like the United States did by using a PPT picture of the sixth-generation aircraft.

Could you share any videos of the J-36 with smoking engines? You’re absolutely correct about the engine technology—American advancements are decades ahead of their closest competitors, France and the UK, not to mention China or Russia for the time being.

The figures cited on some reputable forums about the F-47’s engines are in a league of their own—truly extraordinary. The Adaptive Cycle Engine (ACE) prototype, built by Pratt & Whitney with an enhanced F135 core, is nearing perfection. I don’t fault Boeing here; they’ve had a longer path to navigate.

NRI Engineer with good repute told me that, based on the information they have about these ACE engines, it could take the rest of the world half a century to catch up. They noted that other technologies in the F-47 are mostly refinements of the F-35’s systems. The RCS is reportedly about half that of the F-22, though this comes at the expense of some manoeuvrability.
