J-10C is never used for ground attack. You don't use a 50 million dollar machine for something that can done with a 1 million dollar machine. Simple economics.
It's multirole fighter jet Mr, and no need to come close to the targets, J10C uses stand off munitions whereas drones can't able to carry stand off munitions and defenseless against short range SAMs laser defense

@Yommie

You both are reading too far into it.

The J-10C is painted in that camo because... 🥁

sidhu was a mirage driver. Camo is useless in modern day combat, the J-10 was bought as a long range missile lobber as its primary mission. Camo will have it stick out like a sore thumb. Literally its only painted this way likely because sidhu sahib wanted to show off mirage supremacy/nostalgia...

Really? Allow me to introduce you to the F-35. Or, perhaps the F-15 Strike Eagle. Did you forget the F/A-18?

You forget to refer F-16 sir prime strike fighter

And @Yommie drones are only good against weak and least armed nations like Ukraine but with well equipped nations like USA/China and EU countries drones are useless

Use of drones are ideal for reconnaissance and individual attacks on certain, specific high value targets.

You are not going to use a drone for CAS in an infantry engagement unless that is the only asset immediately available at the moment.

And yes, that did occur on a few occasions in Afghanistan.

How come there are two different color schemes?

You can call Naval and land based or different role based camouflage but in reality it's probably someones personal choice.

@Yommie @NGAD IS THE BEST
Please stop doing useless discussions and countering each other in every post. Intentionally or Unintentionally, You people are literally polluting the thread as @Michael mentioned. Be mature.

Also No Off-Topic discussions please.

Could this be the first Batch 02 J-10CE for Pakistan?

Allegedly a J-10C was seen over or close to CAC and quite strangely - if I read it correctly - its construction number looks like 0210 or 021x?That is strange since regular PLAAF J-10Cs from Batch 02 had no WS-10B or it is a Batch 02 J-10CE? Maybe for Pakistan?

Can you please explain what is the connection between serial number and engine type?

In principle there is none, but Batch 02 J-10Cs for the PLAAF were built in 2016/17 (?) - at least before 2018 as the first Batch of J-10C and at that time, they all used AL-31FN.

Therefore my theaory, it is a Batch 02 J-10CE ... but it it is for the PAF is another question!

Video is unavailable but at least I got your point.

Besides PAF, since 2024, Egypt, Bangladesh, and Sudan have also showed strong interests in J-10CE. The latest image (April 2025) suggested that the J-10CE 02 batch is being constructed at CAC for an unspecified foreign customer.

Even more interesting are 2 points:

1. Huitong has updated his site and says its construction number is 0215, what would correspond to the 15 built within Batch 02 J-10CE!

2. ... a friend told me yesterday it seems unlikely to be for Pakistan!
