Chinese 6th Generation Aircraft News & Discussions

it will not have any kind of TVC because it has similar exhaust nozzles like YF-23 which wont allow TVC to fit

YF-23 demonstrator did not have TVC but the production F-23 would have had TVC.

NO, Not a chance to have had TVC, because below the nozzles were ceramic tiles to shield the nozzles from below (to reduce IR signature) ,F-23 was not have had TVC either, because nozzle design was not permitted to have 2D TVC

The TVC comes with the engine, not the plane itself.

And engine geometry comes with heat shield just like B-2 have (design of rear of YF-23) and it was the finalize design by the company (approved by USAF/Pentagon), if they (USAF/Pentagon) want to change engine geometry they needed to re-designed whole rear part of the YF-23

If not 2D TVC, what wonders is this then.

Why have separate pieces for the exhaust vanes?

No this not proof that it has 2D TVC , in fact it supports my claim that J36 doesn't have any kind of TVC , it has similar nozzle geometry of YF-23 which can't allow to have a 2D TVC, and post the pictures of above engine nozzle, that clearly shows J36 will not have 2D TVC of any kind,

Your Pics clearly showed that J36 have ceramic tiles shielding similar to YF-23 which won't allow to have a 2D TVC

“No chance” of TVC is too strong a claim. The YF-23 prototypes did not feature TVC, it's not because it was impossible, but rather because:
  • Northrop/MD chose not to include it to reduce complexity, weight, and because they felt the aircraft's aerodynamic agility was sufficient without it.
  • The design could potentially have incorporated 2D TVC, similar to what was later seen on the F-22's rectangular nozzles, but this would have required significant structural changes, especially around the heat shielding and stealth features.

Not an HIGH agility but showing STANDARD agility, nothing special about it

It seems like a sideway turn which is very challenging especially for a fighter without tail fin.

If the J-36 do indeed include a true, controlled sideway turn (and sharp!), it would be a testament to the remarkable advancements in Chinese aerospace technology, particularly in flight control systems and potentially thrust vectoring for tailless aircraft. It would suggest a level of agility and maneuverability that is at the cutting edge of fighter jet design.

I don't understand the fuss about six gen, china has HGVs that can target thousands of kms away why not produce thousands of them, than these expensive jets?
