I will accept your point,

But as far as the western people thinking we are "Backwards" our ancestors had developed dentistry and had urban planning when their ancestors were painting their faces blue with berry juice and climbing up hills with clumps of iron.

In fact whilst the list of advancements owed to South Asia would diminish this thread and become off topic I thought I would mention just a small list of historical human advancements that were discovered in South Asia and by South Asian civilisations.

That is because the majority of the west for better or for worse feel they have no room or need of organised religion in their lives, their faith is replaced by Apple and Samsung and Sony, there is a reason majority of western elderly die alone and abandoned rotting away in old folks homes.

And having no fall back on faith and prayer, living in a consumer heavy hyper commercialised world is the reason there is rampant depression and anxiety among people in the west with very little life satisfaction.

Again the post would make this off topic but most of the refugees in the west are from nations that were once prosperous and self-sufficient and looted, raped, pillaged and left destitute by the West following their expansionism during the Industrial Era.

Hosting refugees is their penance.

These are not indians that have lived in the UK for several decades. Pakistanis and indians get along great.

These are the fresh batch of slum dogs imported by Patel, Braverman and Sunak. Many of them are hindutva extremists and terrorists. They got beaten up in Leicester a few years ago when they tried stirring up racial hatered. They've found their balls again but we'll soon remind them whose boss.

To the point about "they were asked to recite Kalima, and then shot" is no different than Indian funded terrorists in Balochistan checking NICs and shooting those with Punjab domicile.

Families are bleeding on both ends and if Indians think that anger is only their prerogative, then they are sorely wrong. FAR more blood has been shed inside Pakistan by Modi/Adjit Doval machinations and Pakistanis were already raging prior to the routine, idiotic knee-jerk finger pointing at Pakistan.

Nobody in Pakistan fears India, nor do the people fear dying because Indian supported terrorism has been so common in the recent past taking lives of not hundreds, but thousands.

We can bleed and give lives because we are almost accustomed to it. The question is, are Indians ready for the same at scale?

I think we shouldn’t think about social media but we must focus on any movement of Indian army etc. it feels more like a full invasion. Lack of Chinese response sheds further light. China isn’t happy with pakistan right now. I feel pakistan is alone this time but we always had this scenario in our minds. Looks like we are well prepared and might possibly start this war before india can even start.

Without water or low level of water, pakistan will become a desert. There is no option now. It’s true that majority of Pakistanis people are busy in their daily lives and don’t care too much but I think we should care. There is lack of American interest and looks like they will not intervene. It feels more like the last war between these two countries.

We need to talk to china about this situation. There is lack of awareness from our side but I know india quite well, the most cunning enemy one can ever have. India is secretly preparing for an all out war.

Use diplomacy, use telephones now. Talk about water issue. Be serious.

Ye - spoke to a mate of mine who said the same. You can tell them from a mile off. No indians and Pakistan living here for a while behave like that.

Desilting of existing dams is one of the options in the short-term
New Delhi:
Emphasising the importance of suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil has said India will ensure that not even a "drop of water" from the Indus river goes to Pakistan.

Mr Patil said this in a post on Friday after a meeting at Home Minister Amit Shah's residence, which was also attended by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and top officials.

"The historic decision taken by the Modi government on the Indus Water Treaty is completely justified and in the national interest. We will ensure that not even a drop of water from the Indus River goes to Pakistan," Mr Patil wrote in Hindi on X.

The suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 was announced by India on Wednesday as part of a series of steps taken after the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam in which 25 tourists and a local were killed. The Jal Shakti Ministry then sent a letter on Thursday to Syed Ali Murtuza, Secretary in the Ministry of Water Resources of Pakistan, notifying the decision.

"The obligation to honour a treaty in good faith is fundamental to a treaty. However, what we have seen instead is sustained cross-border terrorism by Pakistan targeting the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir," the ministry said in the letter.

Priority Areas

Top officials said a detailed plan for India's next steps was discussed in the meeting at Mr Shah's residence and it was decided that the implementation of the treaty's suspension will begin immediately.

"Several long-term plans are on the table but the priority is a plan that can serve as a blueprint for the immediate and mid-term future," an official said.

As part of the Indus Water Treaty, which was brokered by the World Bank, India has full right over the three eastern rivers in the Indus system - Ravi, Beas and Sutlej - while Pakistan gets access to around 135 million acre feet (MAF) of water from the three Western rivers - Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab - all of which flow downstream to the country from India.

Among the options that are on the table in the short term, the Centre is looking at de-silting existing dams on the Indus, Jhelum and Chenab and increasing reservoir capacity, all of which will reduce the water flowing into Pakistan.

Pakistan has been objecting to two hydroelectric projects by India - Kishenganga on a tributary of the Jhelum and Ratle, which is under construction on a tributary of the Chenab. The suspension of the treaty will allow India to ignore Pakistan's objections.

In the longer term, building new dams and infrastructure on these rivers is also something that is being considered.

Legal Response

The officials said a legal response is also being drafted in case there is any pressure from the World Bank or any other international institutions. Diplomatic efforts will also continue to ensure other countries know why India took the step.

"The government's intent is also to ensure that people in India face no or very little inconvenience because of this. The Jal Shakti, Home and Ministry of External Affairs are working on this in a coordinated fashion," an official said.

Pakistan has already indicated that it is rattled by the suspension of the treaty. "Any attempt to stop or divert the flow of water belonging to Pakistan as per the Indus Waters Treaty... will be considered as an Act of War and responded with full force across the complete spectrum of National Power," Pakistan's government said in a statement on Thursday.

3 Muslims died too 🤔

certainly fun to read Pakistanis desperately trying to come up with things Trump wants from Pakistan ....If you guys so desperate to get on his good books just do this: send your troops into Afghanistan and retreive all the gear that USA left there. And send it all back to USA. Trump has been wanting those and he will be thrilled.

Not as desperate as Indians doing false flag attacks since 2000 and cry in front of USA to sanction Pakistan.

Right. The Indian global 'clout' is absent and I am certain will be absent for the events related to the Pahalgam attack and Indians, if they thought they could bring in foreign powers to their side, would be disappointed. The world has changed too much in last 3-4 years with not much adherence to the previously held 'norms' or 'rule of law'. Violence, landgrab, disregard for international laws or courts is the norm; the world is rapidly becoming Might is Right. And I don't think anyone is really going to stick their neck out for India due to just commercial interests. As of now, even the Israelis have limited to 'Islamic' terror without specifically naming Pakistan.

The clout is still there, no one talking human rights abuses in Kashmir, but India being madman is something no one asked for or needs

My own pet theory is that India is psychologically and emotionally not very robust, and deferential to china

since 2001 they have gone out of their way to insist and ridicule the idea of hyphenation with Pakistan.... that lasted until shit started to got real with china and Chinese growth acceleration and.... expectations grew on confronting china

Recently they have been increasingly rehyphenateing themselves and my sense is anything to avoid China, they have publicly confessed their hopelessness with Tejas and don't want the f35 (i.e. china don't worry, we got jack shit)..... how do you end up with a crap air force, slow purchases ...when you have never been stronger.... ever....

This ivt stunt here is smart in that it gives a narrative and reason to remain simmering with Pakistan as Pakistan has to be the aggressor if India acts .....

Recall also that Pakistan was playing good global citizen with India and trying to sort out western front

Tldr:,avoid china, embrace the smaller enemy you know

LOL They need to come up with better plan then this. Looks like they are making fool out of sanghis.

de-silting river is prohibitively expensive and very very slow process. On top of that all their dams are tiny with combined storage capacity of 0.75 MAF, thats without taking in to account accumulated silt since their construction.

But this will not violate IWT so they can go ahead and do it as sanghis jerk off in delusions of stopping water.

They are not de-silting the river, they are de-silting the dam to increase the storage capacity of the dams.

It is something which is regularly done every few years at all dams.

It is not expensive, it involves opening the lower sluice gates of the Dam while keeping the upper sluice gates closed to let the silt which has accumulated at the bottom the damn to flow out.
