Heh, The idea of holding and occupying land is not feasible or appropriate these days, or ethical
Even Russia does not want all of Ukraine, too much effort to hold it
And everyone would literally gang up on Pakistan
There is nothing unethical about Pakistan taking at least the Muslim majority areas of Indian Occupied Kashmir especially when senior members of Modi's cabinet are boasting that 'we will not let even one drop of water to go to Pakistan'. The Kashmiris are more alienated than ever before they will help now unlike in 1965.
And if you study the map, taking and holding onto Indian Occupied Kashmir is do-able. I didn't mention Indian Punjab or Rajasthan or even the disputed part of Rann of Kutch.
Taking land was done in 1948/49. China also took some land. India also took Siachen Glacier's parts. All that land has changed hands since the Partition. Israel has just taken more land. Russia has just taken land.
A massive invading force can do that and Pakistan has tens of millions ready to fight; huge population can be of benefit. Hah. The tribals of Pakistan are ferocious warriors and they are now better armed then ever before. I don't see how a front line of hundreds miles onto LOC can't be formed and do massive intrusion and choke off the narrow supply lines from India into IOK.
Look: Pakistan will have to do something now or later. Maybe India will provide the real causus belli now or later but next time Pakistan shouldn't stop and finish it once and for all. Otherwise, India, where it is going, is certainly going to use water as a weapon of war: Did you notice in that Karan Thapar interview someone posted today a few pages above? Karan and his guest were sensible people but the guest was honest enough to admit that 'India has always viewed water as weapon' against Pakistan.
