Al - Haider VT-4 MBT - The Premier PA Ground Asset [Developments]

Is PA adding an anti-drone system in armoured columns?
Lets look at the scenarios, take 3 scenarios.

Scenario 1 (Ukraine -Russia war).
Both sides deploy MBTs in less than squadron formation (equal to or less than 15 x MBTs). They dont send adequate infantry or AD to support the offensive. Russians send a few T-80s, a few BMPs (not enough) and in the videos i cant see an accompanying AD battery.
The Ukrainian send Leo2s or M1A1s with a handful of M2A1 Bradleys.

Does this make them committed for gains of territory?

The battlefield has been converted in a death zone that no side deploys a brigade or division level attack. This could have been avoided in the first place and even now. Both sides use piecemeal forces to achieve gains. They have made drones the primary source of offense and defense. Relying on drones for attrition warfare.

Problem 1: MBTs are not in enough numbers for a breakthrough.
Problem 2: Infantry should ideally be 1:3 to support MBTs.
Problem 3: AD units like Pantsir or Shilka are not seen moving along MBTs.
Problem 4: Artillery is used for "tank plinking". Taking out individual MBTs, Artillery, AD etc

Scenario 2: (Iran- Israel - USA)
They didnt even feel the need to use ground units, as the borders dont meet. All sides used aircrafts, navy, missiles and drones. Even then USN is touting whether to deploy an amphibious attack or not on the islands.

Here the drones are bigger in size, have larger payloads, longer range and are are the main offensive force of Iran.

Scenario 3: (Pakistan - India)
India will deploy IBGs. It will send regiments of T-90s, with BMPs filled with Infantry, which will dismount and BMPs will become IFVs, then lots of AD like shilka and SAMs, covered by IAF, lastly K-9s and Smerch MBRL. This will be supplemented by AH64s and drones of all kinds. Pakistan will do the same.

They wont be throwing piecemeal formations at eachother, with lone MBTs trying to survive against multiple DJI drone attacks, or a lone 4x4 being attacked by a quadcopter drone.

Both will be using counter-drone systems, including electronic jamming and physical systems apart from AAA guns.

I am worried about PA in Yemen atm. I think with continuous attacks in Riyadh, the coalition has to prove its mantle.

Tank vs Tank: Pakistan, India and the Minutes That Decide the Fight | Radar Mode | Pakistan Connect

Theoretical concepts and talk again. Technical jargon and blabbing.

No views about operational deployment as a formation to achieve objectives. MBT cannot be viewed as an individual weapon. It is dependent on its fighting and supporting echelon., and they are dependent on it.

There is so much improvisation in the field Ops which theory cannot cover.

Pity PK Land Army did not purse T80s morphed into a T84 Oplot.
Overall the T-80 was a better tank than the T-72 series (which includes Indian T-90,s, which is upgraded T-72). The only reason it fell behind T-90 is because it was hardly upgraded by the Russians .. So now basically Russians they made new T80BVM so they are now even better than INDIAN and Chinese modern tanks. mean the T80BVM is literally superior in every way to T90s tanks so this is just a plus

Would you please throw some light on this claim of T80BVM being better than Chinese modern tanks, which includes Haiders.
The only thing T80BVM is better at is probably the ERA used and the better power to rate ratio. the later is but hampered by the poor fuel efficiency and an engine that is sluggish in reverse gear.

infantry has to support MBTs

That makes both vulnerable to FPV drone attacks. I hope HIT/PA is working on UGVs, ATVs, off-road bikes and some concepts of driverless systems though I haven't come across any.

Balochistan and KP can be good proving grounds for self-driving systems and tactics around them; losing a driverless patrol dala to a roadside IED is relatively low-cost over the current norm of dealing with frequent casualties.

I think T84 Oplot too was tested with VT-4 during extensive trials. Even AK performed better that T84 Oplot. But VT-4 appeared as a separate class of its own in those trials.

That's correct. Oplot was tested but follow up copies with improvements/tests never happened as expected/planned.
keeping in mind Ukraine condition, we did dodge a bullet minus the engine TOT which would have been a great help
