Lets look at the scenarios, take 3 scenarios. Is PA adding an anti-drone system in armoured columns?
Scenario 1 (Ukraine -Russia war).
Both sides deploy MBTs in less than squadron formation (equal to or less than 15 x MBTs). They dont send adequate infantry or AD to support the offensive. Russians send a few T-80s, a few BMPs (not enough) and in the videos i cant see an accompanying AD battery.
The Ukrainian send Leo2s or M1A1s with a handful of M2A1 Bradleys.
Does this make them committed for gains of territory?
The battlefield has been converted in a death zone that no side deploys a brigade or division level attack. This could have been avoided in the first place and even now. Both sides use piecemeal forces to achieve gains. They have made drones the primary source of offense and defense. Relying on drones for attrition warfare.
Problem 1: MBTs are not in enough numbers for a breakthrough.
Problem 2: Infantry should ideally be 1:3 to support MBTs.
Problem 3: AD units like Pantsir or Shilka are not seen moving along MBTs.
Problem 4: Artillery is used for "tank plinking". Taking out individual MBTs, Artillery, AD etc
Scenario 2: (Iran- Israel - USA)
They didnt even feel the need to use ground units, as the borders dont meet. All sides used aircrafts, navy, missiles and drones. Even then USN is touting whether to deploy an amphibious attack or not on the islands.
Here the drones are bigger in size, have larger payloads, longer range and are are the main offensive force of Iran.
Scenario 3: (Pakistan - India)
India will deploy IBGs. It will send regiments of T-90s, with BMPs filled with Infantry, which will dismount and BMPs will become IFVs, then lots of AD like shilka and SAMs, covered by IAF, lastly K-9s and Smerch MBRL. This will be supplemented by AH64s and drones of all kinds. Pakistan will do the same.
They wont be throwing piecemeal formations at eachother, with lone MBTs trying to survive against multiple DJI drone attacks, or a lone 4x4 being attacked by a quadcopter drone.
Both will be using counter-drone systems, including electronic jamming and physical systems apart from AAA guns.
