Indian army hasn't done any large scale deployment yet. So they aren't looking for full scale war. But India govt / media has created so much hype and blame game, they'd have to do some action for political objectives. I think India will use stand off weapon at some supposedly "terror camps". Will make up numbers like 200 terrorists killed in the strike. The supposed camps may not even exist or with nobody killed. Kind of repeat of failed Balakot strike.

They will probably do something like you described in the midst of an artillery duel and Pakistan will respond with artillery fire and both sides will call it quits, claiming to have avenged each other’s insult.

India will probably ramp up targeted killings/assassinations inside Pakistan, IMHO. The only question is how much tacit approval will Pakistan give/allowing it to happen, knowing that India will still continue to abrogate the IWT as soon as it’s able.

Remember the May 7 IMF meeting is coming up and India seems now intended to mess with these events, not having provided any proof Pakistan had an involvement in this incident.
