Pakistan's cross-border terrorism has plagued India for years, yet the Pahalgam attack once again highlights India's reactive, ad hoc response. Rather than keeping contingency plans ready to execute swift, surprise retaliation, Modi has convened endless meetings — giving Pakistan ample time to heighten military alertness and prepare countermeasures with newly received Chinese and Turkish weapons, including missiles and drones.

A real professional military would have had contingencies to strike quickly after being attacked it's not like this is the first time cht has flared up in Kashmir. Now PAF is on pretty much alert status and will likely be able to respond to Indian aircraft that could be used to strike parts of Kashmir which is I guess why India is talking about using only missiles.

That's always been the case since the Balakot strike.
Regarding missiles it will mean a greater counter barrage back.

Tonight, there might be some serious action along the LoC as villages are vacated, heavy artillery deployed, and new gun positions established..... India may even attempt to take control of Haji Pir. However, infantry battalions have not yet formed up at their jump-off points.

Don't worry we are there present to defend every inch of our Pak land but also we will go beyond that.

Question is will Pakistan laugh their a** off and not respond if India's "retaliation" is just a token? What would it take to get Pakistan to respond and if they do respond will it also be a token response?

Either war India just looks bad. If India responds heavily with aircraft they are going to suffer many loss for allowing Pakistan time to prepare.

I guess it will come down to 'saving face' and just how 'token' something would be. It would be a similar counter token action.
Agreed, an air assault would be madness, being engaged with BVR and long range ground interceptor missiles whilst being tracked by AEW&C is a terrible idea.

Looks like some sort of parity is being established b/w Bharat and Pakistan, thanks to this recent Modisco aka fiasco. And, the Bhatati capital market is getting billions of $s of infusion from the West. And, she needs to take orders from the Capital which asks for stability. It's the greatest plus. Hopefully, the Pak Deep State starts building from this reversal of tide to its favor in all domains......

Not worried, not in the slightest. My village is close to the WB, and we’re pretty much used to it...
I live near Khuiratta Loc (Kotli, AJK) and usually it is very hot sector. We have seen intense firing and shelling during early 2000s and as late as 2019.
Right now it is completely silent.
May be just a calm before storm.
