Exactly this. Indians have this false dream that this will somehow be a One-Sided war, that they can defeat Pakistan and at the same time continue their "growth." This will be rudely woken up to such a dream. If they initiate war with Pakistan, they can say goodbye to Economic growth for ATLEAST 20-30 Years

In last two weeks I have seen most analysts saying that the Indian economy will be hit harder for long term: India has a lot to lose on the economic front in case of protracted engagements with Pakistan. Pakistan just has to deny India the air superiority, Pakistan has to just dig in and keep launching missiles and rockets into India. And there goes the Indian dream to replace China as the manufacturing hub of the world post Trump Tariffs.
Even the hapless Gazans brought the robust Israeli economy under grave distress and it's been the American full backing which has been saving Israel. Pakistan is far, far stronger in everyway than the Gazans.
Modi has just done something which the saner Indian politicians had avoided for decades before him: he has risked India's hard earned growth of the last several decades. Remember that: 'Capital' is very risk-averse! Suddenly, Brazil or Turkey or some other safer country could be the honey for the Capital bees!
