Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

It looks like the attack is finally launched by Pakistan with several hundred drones. It's a much better strategy to engage/with their defence system with large number of drones.

It was so easy to target Indian drones as they were coming in small numbers
It's just the appetizer. The dinner is yet to follow

The world needs the money they can generate from them. At the end of the Day it will ALWAYS be about money.

Unfortunate reality of the world.

We need to strike military targets, we are more than justified to do so now. Hit their AD sites, or an ammo dump etc., and then work overtime diplomatically to call it off.

But then again, we have a mad man on the other end.

If you used your S400 against $3000 drones going at 5000 ft AGL and gave it's position away, you are dumber than I thought.
You actually cannot -
Missiles need a constant illumination of a target and its darn difficult to put a constant beam on something that fits into a bedroom

Have we moved to the Houthi/Irani era of warfare the world over? :P
Pakistani media denying the attacks. It looks like either India is attacking herself and want to launch full scale war or the Pakistani media is not aware of the attack launched half n hour ago. Anything prior to this was denied by ISPR.

get ready for full scale war bro as your city and mine is very close to the border of Kashmir. I hope everyone is safe in your family

You are not in the hot seat. Pakistan does not want a war that will escalate to the nuclear level. This is a long play. Expending all of our resources, sacrificing countless lives with very little return except to extinguish the fire of revenge isn't cold logic. It is being jazbaati. The famous slogan "Josh say nahi, hosh say" applies.

Unfortunately no hot head here is realizing the “walk the tightrope blindfolded on one leg” scenario at play here.
I've not followed the discussion all the way back so don't jump down my throat assuming i'm advocating for whatever you're arguing against, but I want to provide a perspective in support of taking action.

If we don't cause as much damage as we safely can before this is ultimately de-escalated, then it's going to give them the courage to take further steps.

If in 2019 we'd bombed that base rather than just scaring them, today they would have known that missile strikes will result in the targeting of our military. They would have known that blood and treasure will be lost as a result of firing weapons for the sake of electioneering.

We are now forced to do that today, 6 years later. They have to pay a high price to discourage them from trying again. Yes this does raise the risk levels, we could enter into a full fledged conflict - but it's today or in another 5 years or 10 years.

The hindu right wing is not going to lose power in India, they are also not going to dampen their ambitions. If they think they can get away with it without the sort of losses that ultimately will lose them territory and elections - they will continue and get bolder.

You should see the stuff that a former Indian CoAS (Niravane) is putting up. Unfortunately diplomatic niceties have been put aside altogether on both sides.
He’s an Indian. Do I need to say more? We don’t need to stoop to their level.

Lol.

I remember reading about this strategy in 2013 when smaller drones were finally seeing wide spread use. There was an opinion piece by a US officer who proposed such a strategy to defeat enemy air defenses, before going in with their Fighter jets.

Iran ended up using it first, and it has shown to be extremely effective.

It seems like Pakiaran is learning from various global conflicts.
