How much of a threat do drones like Mohajer 6 even pose to adversaries like the US when you have Houthis shooting down the MQ9 which is more advanced than the Mohajer 6?

has Iran built the carousel launch system for the Shaheed -136 which launch from that container ?

if so Pakistan should get them as Shaheed -136 packs a huge punch and massive range

Mohajer-6 is not designed to fight the US, it is designed for use against mostly insurgent groups. but it is useful for surveillance in the Persian Gulf or potentially to guide anti-ship missiles.

you mean this? each vehicle can launch 5 shahed-136 drones (within c. 30 seconds for all 5). Russia uses these to launch c. 100 drones per day deep into Ukraine.

they can be stored and loaded underground then taken to any site for launch, preventing detection and giving the enemy virtually zero chance to pre-emptively strike it. then immediately return to base after the drones are launched.

newer version is Shahed-238 (also purchased from Iran by Russia), which is jet powered and travels around 3-4x faster than Shahed-136 (500km/hr vs 150 km/hr). it has a long range (c. 1000km, around half the range of Shahed-136) and can use more advanced targeting systems such as EO/IR

these will be much cheaper to buy from Iran than any western equivalents

Iran has a large number of suicide drones of all types and ranges:

  • Shahed-136 (the classic, 2500km range, 150km/hr speed, 50kg warhead)
  • Shahed-131 (scaled down Shahed-136)
  • Shahed-238 (jet powered version with 1000km range, 500km/hr speed and EO/IR targeting, 20kg warhead)
  • Arash (Iranian army version of Shahed-136 with larger 150kg warhead)
  • Rezvan (mobile drone system with 20km range)
  • Iranian Lancet (unnamed, 40km range)
  • Meraj-521 (Iranian 'Switchblade' for use on front lines, 5km range with 1kg warhead)
Shahed-238, Rezvan, and Meraj-521 should be very competitive on the export market.

How much does it cost is issue with growing importance... What is the price of Iranian drones for export, comparatively cheap, and what is the manufacturing price for Iranian state, that is of course cheaper...

Iranian drones are conceptual aimed for eventual long war of attrition with powerful opponents, or striking force for less powerful...

With supporting opportunities for tracking, surveillance and sabotage, Iranian drones are Putin’s strategic edge to be comfortable with all of the west-supported, practically unlimited sources of "Ukrainian" military...

You can neutralize all of the sent Iranian drones and still being losing side with costing comparison... If few of them manage to make damage, it's almost priceless success...

And that is the reason why many experts suggest that Iranian drones are practically invincible...

Iranian-Russo drone Shahid/Geran is mentioned in the article. I posted it because I hope and wish that IRI can produce something like this. Been thinking in similar ways for sometime and I'm no drone expert. I wonder what the mad engineers in equivalent skunkworks in Iran are up to!

Good read from MWM
