This makes my blood boil. They will never ever learn. The Americans, Russians, British, Israelis etc would have never let the other targets go. They are truly ruthless in battle. There is no holding back. What difference would it have made to the "escalation ladder?" - nothing.

If anything it would have created the sort of fear in the Indian armed forces where pilots would have been scared to take off again.

Ridiculous.. if half their rafale shot down.. they would have come to their senses. PAF reputation would have gone more sky high than Israelis..

Exactly 100% agree. I don’t understand this connect of ladders and restraint in the middle of a shooting battle. Would the IAF been restrained if they had the advantage. This whole concept of restraint and ladders for a mission like that puts the people of Pakistan and Pakistan itself at risk.

Never to underestimate your enemy, especially the one with such a large economy and military and with Western backing, but I've got to say this: India looks like a wet little puppy right now and maybe told of that by the Western powers, the Arabs, the Iranians and subtly by the Chinese.

This is also why the Indians have gone mad with their propaganda to the point that even their gullible population is starting to question the Indian narrative as they quiver in fear of PAF thundering over Delhi, Calcutta and Mumbai.

A few ground based SOW and ultra long range MLRS at some targets and call it quits is what I think they should do.
