The disappointment is not that they hit our bases. It was given Brahmos saturation attack will happen. It will overwhelm our AD. It did happen. But the barge came with Drones, SCALP and other missiles.

The disappointment is their AD handled our saturation attack better than us. Drones, Fatah Missiles. Also we didn't send our Tier 1 cruise missiles towards them, only the conventional missile strikes. The psychological impact that Indian missiles created on us, it was limited for them.

Their investment on AD has paid off. Our investment on AD was recent and we have held our ground decently but it needs to be expanded. Layers upon layers has to be created like the Indian AD.

Plus our drone warfare response kinda sucked too. Where is that SARKASH 1000 KM drone GIDS were touting ? Indians overwhelmed us with drones all over Pakistan while Pakistan were unable to do that as their low level AD were neutralizing our drones in large quantity

Drone warfare is the future. current generation of drones are slow (100-200 miles per hour) networked warfare is the future. Imagine drones suppressing air defenses while manned aircraft or missiles can go for the kill.

Pakistan is at a disadvantage because of geography. All key population centers and lots of military targets are too close to the international border. I do not know what is the strategy to minimize vulnerability here ? Theater missile defense ??
