Su-30 was excellent on paper when bought in the late 90s. Gave India power projection and all, which was a key purpose, but it was operationally unavailable in sufficient numbers at a given time. The only aircraft that remained potent even then was the Mirage-2000 and the IAF eventually began pushing the GOI to acquire more Mirages - in large numbers. This subsequently gave birth to MMRCA competition for 126 aircraft and their ToT. In short, MMRCA was, in part, intended to mitigate the Su-30 problem.

Because you don't get lynched in Pakiatan for going against political ideologies as easily as you do in India. The witch hunt in India is on right now with social media dissenters being thrown in jail. Who would risk that. Freedom of speech, at the end of the day, is a practical manifestation. Don't hear about anyone being beaten with sticks for sharing videos or being a Hindu in Pakistan. I thought that would be self evident.

@Sharma Ji All because of a few lack lustre Bayraktar Drones? Funny no one in India is calling for a boycott of China which supplied J10C and PL-15 missiles. No Chinese restaurants have been ransacked, No Chinese flags have been stomped on No Chinese visitors have been lynched, A movie on Galwan has not been launched by Bollywood yet.
As of 2023 There were 23,198 Indian students studying in China .

Exactly! How can those pilots live that down within the IAF let alone globally if their identities are ever known. Their careers are over in the IAF. The Rafales community is small in India, so not too difficult to work out who they are.

Based on the available evidence, two major claims currently appear false or unverified:
Shooting down PAF fighters – There's no credible or independently confirmed proof supporting this. Indian narratives have no evidence, and open-source data doesn't back the claim.
Destroying S-400 systems – This appears highly unlikely. No reliable evidence has emerged showing damage to such high-value Russian systems, which would otherwise be a major strategic event.
To me this is more interesting about kirana hills because it's very sensitive, the situation remains murky. It's an extremely sensitive location, and the fog around it is thick. Even international conflict trackers and media outlets report inconsistently

thats dangerous, it de-composes escalatory ladder into just 2 steps, without even going into ground invasion.
In other words, it is a trade-off between air superiority and missile dominance, and, there can be no optimal results when trade-offs are involved.
Result is much shortened escalatory ladder in South Asia!
