It is true that prior to the early morning May 7 encounters, Pravin Swaheny kept saying no chance of war and he was implying just cross border incursions. And that still doesn't take away from his understanding of China-Pakistan arrangements against India, which is topnotch.
Generally, we should not put total trust in one person's or even some group of analysts' views. This is a big confrontation between two very potent enemies, with China also significantly involved and several other countries with direct or indirect interests. None one of us can be sure what's going on except the topmost leaderships in India and Pakistan and even then there are surprises any minute to the leaderships.

The then Pak Deep State may have wanted to get rid of the East Pak; otherwise, they'd have eliminated him much earlier. Yes, it was a folly on their part....

Stop all Afghan bound/origin flights from using Pakistani Air Space
Stop all Land Trade
Kickout their embassy
Call back our Embassy Staff
Forget they exist for a couple of years
Hit their military/government for every cross border incursion/attack

Mujib for a long time insurgency said he wanted a united Pakistan, and opposed separation.

He was not a RAW agent. It was Pakistan's own stupidity of allowing ZAB to become leader of Pakistan when ZAB had LOST the election againt Mujib, and allowed a drunkard like Yahya Khan, a complete buffoon who cuckolded his own generals and junior officers, to become COAS.

Place the blame where it's due, not where it is easiest.

Agree, 1971 falls squarely on the shoulders of west Pakistan elite, who instead of respecting Bengalis and their election win instead discussed whether Bengalish were even Muslims.

In alternative or "counter-factual" or whatever history, i believe if leadership of the new Pakistan had fallen to East Pakistan instead of West Pakistan, we might be a totally different country today. Bengal had been a well developed land even before the Mughal/British eras whereas West Pakistan was an underdeveloped area with one university and a few factories.

This person whoever they are we welcome to come and stand on the border before they talk bakwas about our armed forces. There is a reason for all this fanfare, which will become apparent in due course.

It will help us to get your perspective which looks very interesting AND will also help your own narrative? I think due to such an international nature of this forum, non Latin characters should not be allowed anyway: It kind of signals that one doesn't want to communicate/understand but NOT saying you are necessary one of those.
