Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

MY father promoted to 2 star at that time I joined force as well and in my mind I had a hope may be my father will become 4 star but he took retirement after some time I ask my father why he responded that he almost served 30 years and achieved success for the country but it would be a lot of expectation when you became 3 star or 4 star and within limited time of period you can't implement your new things or thoughts and if someone achieve this one within small span of service as a 3 or 4 star so it would be consider a great achievement and must be given more time so that he can deliver more cream of his career for upcoming events and it is very hard anyone can get and who get it he would be consider lucky for the nation as well.

I am not going to comment on what Asim Muneer delivered or achieved be it in this round of conflict or since he took over....

I hope you got my point,

Rafale 288 millions bird shot down by 44 millions bird it is an achievement come from top.

Yes - the PAF as an 'institution' delivered that, not the current head of the PAF and not the head of the PA. The PAF Institution, has taken decades of work to get to the point that PAF is at now through multiple iterations of leadership. There is the plan that the institution executes and there are moments of thoughts that individuals bring to the table that will then take institutions decades to deliver. Look how how long it has taken to deliver PAFs C&C systems. There is a leader who has the spart of vision, and others after him delivered that through many iterations.

There is no universe where Modi can humiliate Pakistan militarily by attacking it. The best chance they have is Pakistan launching some Kargil like operation with militants and India claiming victory. Those days are over.

Let's not be complacent. Modi has already crossed the Rubicon by launching missiles into Pakistan proper and per India's new doctrine, expect such attacks in future. I expect India to launch massive missiles to try destroy Pakistan's air assets, to be followed by ground invasion to take some territory in the Pakistan part of Kashmir. India does have the numbers advantage.

Speaking of J-35, here is an Indian channel reporting this and they are saying it could be as early as August 2025 when Pakistan gets first batch of J35 from China.

Honestly speaking, if someone actually deserves to be promoted to the rank of Marshal, it should have been the ACM, Marshal of the Air Force Z.A.B Sidhu.

I can't force a zombie and make someone who is following a cult to understand just pray for me and you,

He will fall on Modi's sword very soon - they just want to manage the optics, because the moment they do, failure of the IAF is complete and absolute and final.

This is what I was thinking. Strange that Indian defence commentators are communicating the IAF side of things almost daily whilst ACM being kept away from the media. Meanwhile Pak ACM, COAS and PM are pretty much on the road all over Pakistan last week or so

I believe in meritocracy, I believe in the letting the brightest and best rise to the top for an opportunity to prove themselves, and for them to mass the mantle on to the next person for their chance. I believe in organisations, institutions and leadership to be based on meritocracy. I hold no loyalty to anyone other than the common goals. I have an allergic reaction to any cult of personalities anywhere for any reason.

Extensions are bad, especially when there is someone brighter who is next in line!

The brightest ones tend to understand they are never the smartest person in the room and never have that arrogance. It is the not so bright ones, who think that ......

COAS Gen Asim Munir promoted to rank of field marshal

That's full blown masterclass in self-congratulatory delusion... the absolute pinnacle of auto-fellatio.... But let them have it... anything that adds a little extra sting to India’s bruised ego is a win for Pakistan...
