Serious question here, if Israel was to invade south lebanon and try to push Hezbollah to the letani river, would this give Iran the perfect opportunity for payback by hitting Israeli armoured collumns and bases of operation inside Lebanon with BMs?

I wonder if they would involve themselves and direct strikes on lebanese soil.

A ground attack on Lebanon will be Israel's nightmare. They will face thousands of Almase and Toofan and Dehlavie ATGMS. There is no need for Iran's intervention.

Very unlikely even if Hezbollah was at the brink of destruction IMO

It is not unlikely. Now, because of Palestine and Hamas, all Iran's friends have entered the war.

If this war was against Hezbollah,
Yemen and Syria and Iraq would definitely be active and maybe even Iran would enter the war.

No. At least not overly. If Iranians strike Israel DIRECTLY then there’s a strategic breakdown. Iran’s actions are against the US directly if necessary. Zionia does not come to that level.

Similarly US striking Resistance groups is a big strategic failure for them. Their ‘proxy’ war has failed.

Iraqi Government condemns illegal American "aggression" and "deception" that killed civilians

The American administration has carried out a new act of aggression against Iraq's sovereignty. In this incident, multiple American aircraft bombed locations in the Akashat and Al-Qa'im regions, including areas where our security forces are stationed, alongside nearby civilian places.

This blatant aggression, caused the tragic loss of 16 martyrs, including civilians, and 25 individuals sustaining injuries. Furthermore, the assault resulted in significant losses and damage to residential buildings and citizens' property.

Subsequently, the American side intentionally engaged in deception and distortion of facts, stating coordination with Iraqi authorities for the perpetration of this aggression—an unfounded claim crafted to mislead international public opinion and evade legal responsibility for this condemned act, in violation of international laws.

This aggressive airstrike will push the security situation in Iraq and the region to the brink of the abyss, jeopardizing ongoing efforts to establish the necessary stability.

“We need to change our policy,” Graham said. “People are not afraid of us. This idea of hitting hundreds of targets…that doesn’t matter. The only Iranian we killed in Syria or Iraq…is some dumbass that doesn’t know to get out of the way.”

“We gave them a weeks notice, so if there’s another round of strikes coming, I hope they really will hurt Iran in their pocketbook or their leadership because if you don’t, nothing changes,” he added

Graham should be hanged in public or sent to the frontline using force (for the good of American and Iran)

But if Hezbollah comes under unprecedented and immense military pressure from Israel, if Hezbollah needs external direct help to survive , IRGC will likely flood Lebanon with xx,xxx of ground forces to fight alongside Hezbollah- Iran might send Syrian or Iraq-based fighters first, but if Hzb is in a dire situation (which is not likely) in a war with Israel, IRGC will likely send its ground soldiers/ Quds forces into Lebanon to fight shoulder to shoulder with Hezbollah. I think IRGC has fought already with Hezbollah in all its big engagements with Israel in modern times. In 2006, IRGC personnel participated in some capacities, from and in Lebanon.
