Mistake: Facing a way smaller Airforce in reality, not in bollywood.Good part is that we are able to understand the tactical mistake we did..."
International media was taken to Balakot after about 2 months. I am sure India will organize a media visit to all those bases in coming months.
A rocket artillery with 300KG + of warhead. And we are supposed to believe it will not leave big craters in the bases or where ever they hit.. If these had hit the airbases or military bases, damage would have surely been seen in satellite images.
Yes, even a hit on a military comms tower in Delhi, with no personnel killed or even hurt would have sent a signal, that the war can come straight to their door as well.
The gist of it…
"I think whats important is Not the jets being down,
But why they were down.
Good part is that we are able to understand the tactical mistake we did..."
Why a "non-specific, no response " when he could have given accurate news about Indian victories? In 2019 the IAF gave a very "specific response" on the downing of an F-16 Block 52 D, piloted by a certain Fl.Lt. Shazazuddin. So it was that specific, type, model, and name of the pilot. What's different this time.In my view his response was a no response. Because it was so non specific that it was not carrying any information. The only claim he made is that IAF has shot Pakistani jet(s). Thats it.
"Any god damn jet fighter can be said as ",hi tech". Agree with you there.. "any god damn jet fighter " such as the Mig 21 "Bison" or the De Havilland Vampire. The bigger point that I wanted to make is, he did NOT specify F-16s or any specific jets. Any god damn jet fighter can be said as "hi tech".
Would you classify your Doordarshan as privately owned ?As far as "Other claims" go, I doubt there is a "state approved media". There is Indian media but then those are privately owned mostly. And I personally do not take them seriously. If you want to trust them, they were saying Indian forces are attacking Islamabad. So, they are not even worth talking about.
Define significant damage and what exactly was hitWell, most of international media is saying that all damage inflicted to bases in 2025 conflict was done by India, on Pakistani bases and there is no evidence of Indian bases suffering any significant damage.
Is AVM Bharti living in a real world? You can read WaPo, NY Times and Stimson centre's report on this. If you so wish, I can post the URLs.
I am sure I am living in the real world.
After the loss of aircraft on day one, IAF didn’t launch anything and remained on ground. This statement is correct.
But, it analysed what went wrong on 7th and re-calibrated its strategy and was on full force again on 10th.
Most of the weapons fired across were air launched on 10th and not SSMs. They didn’t face any resistance whatsoever.
While I give credit to PAF for what it achieved but it was restricted to 7th May. 9th onwards there was a counter strategy in place and utilised fully by the IAF on 10th.
Air Superiority can be claimed if one can deny the adversary air power to carry out its missions. Which wasn’t the case.
The air activity of fighters now is for them to go back to their bases and is in no way indicative that they were stuck on ground.
