Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

India is not like "many other countries ".
"Many other countries " don't produce war movies that depict fiction and then feed their population on the hype. Other countries , even dictatorships take war far more seriously and announce losses both to their own population and the world. It builds credibility and as a bonus these countries are taken far more seriously during future conflicts.
China admitted losing troops in the Galwan incident in 2020 and didn't claim more losses inflicted on the enemy, other than the count of 20 bodies returned. India claimed 40 Chinese soldiers killed but didn't return a single dead body to China

Curious why India has recently adopted the stance of perpetually lying to the world.
I am more curious why are do you keep on moving goal-post and misrepresent things. Why cann't you talk about what is relevant here?

And Really? Other countries do not produce war movies with fiction? Ever heard of this small and unknown country called USA?
Hollywood has produced so many fictional war movies that it is not even hilarious!

Make up your mind and then post, and do post with some reality and not these misrepresentations.

Brahmos is not deployed in a nuclear role, it is an anti-ship missile primarily. Its warhead weighs only 300 KG. Thats same as warhead of Fatah II and CM400-AKG.
This is why I say the best cheap option for the air force is to localise the CM400-AKG & rework it to our needs maybe increase the range, develop a multi role seeker for it.

You have yourself a cheap iteration of the Brahmos without going through the massive R&D

It took only 96 hours of sporadic medium intensity combat for Pakistan to start reaching out for its National Command Authority...
Rest you can figure out yourself. Noteworthy, Indian Navy and Indian Army had minimal involvement only with some artillery pieces and attacks limited to existing posts.

I am serious about Pakistan taking back Indian Occupied Kashmir except the Hindu majority areas in Jammu. The way the successive Indian govts have been behaving for decades leaves very little other choice unless there is a big change of policies in India. I know, I know you'd start the same old 'terrorism' blame on Pakistan but I have no doubt that the Pahalgam attack was either a False Flag by India or some rogue element who had nothing to do with the state of Pakistan. But the Indian over reaction shows a clear long term strategic policy on Kashmir and to counter that Pakistan will have become proactive.
So, yes, Indian Occupied Kashmir can be taken back militarily! And to that end, Pakistan should start massive mobilization of heavily armed civilians to form militias which would cross into IoK with some help from the Pakistani military while the bulk of the Pakistani Army would guard the International Border with tactical nukes as last resort. The militias would be voluntary and there is no shortage of armed manpower in Pakistan, especially in the north, who would sacrifice their lives to secure Pakistan and Kashmiris rights.
As to the quoted part: I think both countries wanted de-escalation. Both are going to rearm and regroup for the next war.

Indian leadership failed it's own military by overestimating it's capabilities by a long shot.

Errr... days of meat waves are long over. Armed civilians will be walking in a meat grinder.

This was started by India with clean strike over few terrorists camps to give a message to Paksiatn to stop any kind of support to secessionists in Kashmir. It said clearly that it is not against military. This message was for posturing that we don’t want military to military escalation if things stop right there.
Pakistan as a state had no involvement in the Pahalgam attack. I have no doubt about that. But you still sent the 'message' by bombing several residential areas in the heartland of Pakistan, something you had not done since 1971?? Maybe you should have some honest and deep introspection about your motives??
Till this time, no side was keen for a full fledged war but mere posturing and signalling.
This is clear from the kind of and number of weapons used till ceasefire was declared.
I can agree with that.
Corollary to that would be - Why did Paksiatn accept ceasefire if everything was going great for it? Or why didn’t it make some more gains if it was going so great?
Because Pakistan was caught off-guard. India had the advantage of long term planning and Pakistan was reacting to the Indian planning. The attackers usually have the initial advantage! But I believe Pakistan rightly calculated that India was already humiliated on May 7--and it was not just the fighter jets but also considerable number of Indian soldiers dead along the Line of Control in Kashmir--and so for Pakistan it was better to de-escalate, regroup and plan for the next conflict which will be far worse. But on May 10, I believe both Pakistan and India really wanted to de-escalate.

The terrain is supposedly the same one where people were running after a pilot.

This is probably shivangis plane
