Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Very well articulated

Now that the fog of war is lifting we can perhaps construct a rudimentary timeline of events that happened during Indo-Pak skirmishes 2025.

- Indians either orchestrated or deliberately allowed Pahalgam attacks to happen. No police force nor army nor paramilitary arrived despite the existence of police station/ 1RR camp/ 116 CRPF Bn camps a stone's throw away.

- 10 mins after the massacre was over, Indian police filed an FIR against "Pakistani masters".

- No investigation nor manhunt for the perpetrators which was very odd. They still remain at large.

- BJP decided to use the event as a way to rile up domestic support as usual, to launch attacks on Pakistan and to force Pakistan into renegotiating IWT. Specifically the right to object to Indian dam designs & storage rights.

- Indian military cautioned against the idea and frankly expressed their capability shortcomings & Pak capabilities to strike back/ inflict pain.

- Indian political leadership shrewdly distanced themselves from the debacle and made a show of "full op control" given to military.

- Indian military waited for weeks to gather intelligence on their targets but mostly failed as the strikes killed civilians. 0 big name LeT/JeM figures.

- IAF believed large numbers and firing SOWs from Indian airspace would deter PAF from retaliating. They had multiple strike and escort packages nevertheless.

- PAF indeed operated under strict ROE of no shooting unless IAF violates airspace or attacks them.

- PAF ROE were changed on moments notice when they detected Indians dropping SOWs. PAF engaged and shot down those aircrafts which fired SOWs, in the momentous 1h battle.

- Chaos ensued and IAF jets hurried back to their hangers after the losses.

- PAF was ordered not to pursue or strike again. Decision-makers believed this was enough retaliation to establish deterrence and rest could be done by army, to avoid escalation into war.

- Desperate Indians began drone probes after grounding of their Airforce to deter the feared Pak retaliation.

- Pak side delayed too long, deliberating on a counter strike that is proportionate and doesn't escalate - contrary to public proclamation of disproportionate response.

- DG ISPR Presser to foreign journalists where he told Journalists to remember Pakistani kids when Pak action begins, broke the camel's back and Indians panicked hard.

- The Pakistani land forces mobilization, posture and PAF proven air dominance made Indians fear a full war focused on Kashmir which caused a panic.

- Indian military ordered desperate LRV strikes on PAF bases and Pakistani cities to deter the war or at least degrade PAF capabilities to equalize the air war if deterrence failed.

- Now Pakistan panicked and launch Op Bunyan Al Marsoos with Air and Land forces much earlier than they wanted and with smaller scope. IAF/IA bases targeted.

- Ajit Doval called Trump to claim Pak was preparing for nuclear strikes (a lie, as proven by Indian CDS).

- Trump & his team got DGMOs of both sides to connect and figure out the off ramps.

- Indian political leadership stepped back in, denying diplomatic costs of the ceasefire and spreading fantasy tales.

- Indian foreign service is lambasted for its failures and MPs are sent abroad to convince foreign govts. No foreign govt hosted or met these delegations except Colombia, another disaster.

- Indian military begins feeling like it is being scapegoated and CDS utilizes Singapore hosted Shangri-la summit to deal 3 blows to BJP. First confirming air losses, 2nd confirming IAF was grounded, 3rd rubbishing BJP lies on nuclear issues.

- BJP gets caught in own devices. It has lionized the military too much to summarily discipline the uppity CDS. But it also cannot let this slip. Military however is way too entrenched in Indian public Psyche now, to detriment of BJP.

- There will be consequences of this fiasco on Indian politics. Now we just sit back and wait.

We just need to Improve our Navy and AD plus we are getting J-35 so thats gon be crazy

HQ-19B is very good equivalant to THAAD we shoild get HQ 17 and DF 17 hypersonic missile to counter brahmos

I am afraid none of these will cover the loitering drones.......WE got lucky because of the sheer incompetence of Indian operators....Their drone arsenals are very credible and deadly......Imagine we were openly firing our Fatah and artillary and not even one artillary piece was destroyed by these drones flying non stop in hundreds....

They fell in the fields but couldnt hit our completely exposes artillary??

Wonder why? inccompetence or deliberate strategy to limit demage and bringing on retaliation?

are we willing to use a million dollar HQ19 missile to shoot $100000 drone? no country can afford it.

We need a cheap and available in bulk systems...

My major concern was if neelum jehlum hydro was under attack, what did we do to reciprocate that action??

The correct course of action would have been to respond to Neelum Jhelum attack by hitting the Indian dams and powerplants that are like parasites on rivers to Pakistan. That is how you establish deterrence, but doctrine of "excessive restraint" meant Pakistan just fired artillery and mortars across LoC.

In the celebrations of winning the war over India, the poor performance of Pakistani high command has escaped notice. They were not prepared for an Indian attack and seemed confused and slow to deliberate, causing Pakistan to absorb three days of Indian attacks before responding.

Good to see that not everyone in India is in denial mode. I don’t think there is any other example in history of a leadership so pathetic that medals are given for being shot down and ‘victory’ is declared after a 6-0 drubbing in what is the lead service. It’s like if Syria declared victory after getting a handful of its jets shot down by Isreal🤣but then they’ve never been that shameless.

If she has been captured then she should be given life sentence or do a give and
take deal with India.

Remember she came to bomb civilians in Pakistan and if she is sent back then she
will be flying a Rafale again to do the same again.

During those first crucial hours of May 7th, it appeared that the PAF had successfully built upon its strong showing in 2019. However, over the next 72 hours, India regrouped and brought a fight that the PAF – and the Pakistani military at large – was not prepared to fight.

India brought “a very different kind of fight.”

India took the IAF off the field and, in its place, heavily leaned on a vast array of loitering munitions and, most importantly, a gamechanger strike asset in the BrahMos supersonic-cruising missile (SSCM).

Indeed, while the initial – i.e., IAF-led – action of Operation Sindoor evidently did not proceed as planned, India was, nonetheless, credibly able to show it could penetrate Pakistan’s burgeoning air defence system and engage the PAF before its fighters could even get off the ground.

Keep it up!.. you and country men can never give a straight answer ..

US support for India was in the US.

You say you won a war but seem pretty angry. Why?

As drone war intensifies across the globe, Israel inducts the 'Iron Beam' to shoot down drones and projectiles using high intensity laser beam complementing the legendary 'Iron Dome'. During recent operations, the Israeli Defense Forces deployed the “Magen Or” (Shield of Light) laser interception system in the northern sector for testing. The system successfully neutralized multiple hostile UAVs, including four Hezbollah drones, proving its precision and effectiveness. Released footage confirms its operational success in countering aerial threats. This is the first in the world!

Interestingly, India's Bharat Forge of Kalyani Group, a Pune based defense manufacturer has stakes and active partnership in Israel's Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, in a j.v. called Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems (KRAS). Some of these advanced systems were tested during the India-Pakistan conflict with 100% success rate.

If only this system had also saved Indian air force from losing their premier fighter jets.
