Regardless of them saying they ‘showed restraint’ for diplomatic points, I personally don’t buy it and think they shot down anything they could after the SOW’s were fired. U don’t shoot down 6 top of the line jets in an hour showing ‘restraint’.

I am sure the Pakistani military knows what to get and from where and has just proved itself to the world. America has a long term strategic interest in India and the composition of the Pak govt won't influence that. But Pakistan is still able to get freebies/discounted hardware from America; no harm in that.

That is the very problem ie “military freebies/hardware” and not economic goodies that would serve the interests of the country better and not just the military establishment. This is why Pakistan does not progress economically because the whole thought concept is only around “military”.

Let’s see. There is an opportunity here but I suspect Pakistan will waste that opportunity on useless items and not on real tangible long lived economic gains..
