Yup it was a retarded move, I've always advocated for Iran fully allying with China, but it's cracker worshipers that run the country, not me.

Ahmadinejad was truly anti-West, but in the meantime, he also held some contemptible view toward China.

Rouhani was a true pro-West reformist, and China didn't have any expectation toward him.

Raisi was a decent man in China's view, China did its last ditch effort to ally with Iran under the leadership of Raisi, but last year he just got eliminated before any serious action toward Israel. The Chinese community always suspects that it was your dear supreme leader who decided to remove Raisi for his personal gain.
