Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

You haven’t ever seen some of diaspora Iranians and how they wish for foreign intervention in hopes of regime change? Such people must exist inside Iran too.
Oh. Diaspora. I have seen them but most/many of them are people who left around the time of Shah’s fall. So I don’t consider them much relevant anymore, practically speaking.

What was the Iranian Air Defence doing? Simple question, can't understand. If it was from the inside, like the Ukrainian Spider's Web,then makes sense they had little to no time to react.
Bro, compared to what the IDF used and given Iranians don't really have an airforce there isn't much their AD could do.

Israel used ALBMs over Iraq again @ShapurII @Immortals

guess the IRGC ABM system wasn't ready yet

Nothing in Iran was ready it seems !!!!

Truly shocking to see the state of attacks, and lack of response so far. No SOPs, no nothing...

Nobody is celebrating it.

Maybe not the right word, but there are Iranians who think that the only way (or the most likely) for regime change is if the country is destabilized by foreign intervention/attack.

Pak needs to be careful of India using the same tactic as Ukraine and Isreal of prepositioning of drones inside Pakistan for attacking assets. Conversely Pak needs to look at such covert tactics as well to attack Indian assets..

Israel might capture iran and put a permanent control soon
Isreal can only cause ariel damage to iran, it can destroy major infrastructure and cause massive economic recession in iran.

It however does not have the capability or strength to capture iran, its forces will get obliterated when then land in iran. and they know it.

Biggest security failure is that it’s seems Israel has deep and unchallenged human intelligence on ground.

Such networks must have been cultivated over many years and were operating with impunity.

Correct, in your assessment, they've also gone beyond just ground level intel, and have actually killed scientists and engineers via bombs in personal vehicles, and remote-controlled devices. Several years back, they were able to load a virus through a USB at a nuclear facility that rendered a lot of equipment unusable.

There are two culprits that could help the Israelis in spreading this network within Iran.

That's true, but it doesn't mean that people are celebrating it. Everyone I know in Iran, and by everyone I literally mean everyone, is upset about what has happened.

Looks like F-35 were used to punch a hole into Iranian air defenses to allow F-16’s to get thru.

Look at the amount of SDBs being carried, none of the have range to Tehran or other cities of Iran from the border of Iraq. Which means many fighter jets from Israel penetrated Iranian airspace

@Persian Gulf

the other I was watching some religious authority (with his full attire on!) speaking over evidence they have captured (blue prints of buildings in isnotreal and IAEAs' involvement)...

and I kept thinking, either they have the best spy agency or they are very below average!

results to this question, can be found out in todays attack!

I hereby post an essay from 1000 years ago, which is leant by every Chinese high school student, and often quoted in the recent trade war, on the topic of warring states 2500 years ago, to show the importance of resistance.

On the Six Kingdoms**

The six kingdoms perished, not because their weapons were blunt or their strategies unsound, but because they bribed Qin. By bribing Qin, they sapped their own strength—this was the path to their ruin.

Some may say: “Did all six kingdoms fall solely due to bribing Qin?” I reply: “Those who did not bribe perished *because of* those who did. Without strong allies, no state could survive alone. Thus, the fault truly lies in bribing Qin.”

---

Apart from seizing land by force, Qin gained territories through bribes—small towns or large cities. What Qin acquired through bribery was a hundredfold greater than what it won by battle. What the feudal lords lost through bribery was also a hundredfold more than their battlefield losses.

Thus, Qin’s greatest desire and the lords’ gravest threat lay not in war. Consider their ancestors: braving frost and dew, clearing thorns and brambles to win every inch of land. Yet their descendants treated it lightly, surrendering it to others like discarded weeds.

Today they ceded five cities; tomorrow, ten—gaining but a night’s peace. Upon dawn, Qin’s armies returned. Yet the lords’ lands were finite, while Qin’s greed was insatiable. The more they offered, the fiercer Qin encroached. Thus, without fighting, strength and weakness, victory and defeat, were decided. Their downfall was inevitable.

---

The ancients said: “To appease Qin with territory is like dousing fire with firewood—until the wood is gone, the fire won’t die.” These words hold truth.

---

Though Qi never bribed Qin, it too fell after the other five. Why? By allying with Qin (surname Ying) instead of aiding the five kingdoms. Once the five were lost, Qi could not escape.

The rulers of Yan and Zhao initially had foresight. They defended their lands and *refused* to bribe Qin.

Thus Yan, though small, perished last—proof that arms worked. But when Prince Dan sent Jing Ke (to assassinate Qin’s king), he hastened disaster.

Zhao fought Qin five times—losing twice, winning thrice. Later, Qin attacked Zhao repeatedly, but Li Mu repelled them. Yet when Li Mu was slandered and executed, Handan fell, becoming a Qin commandery. Alas! They took up arms but failed to persist.

---

Moreover, Yan and Zhao resisted when Qin had nearly wiped out the others. Isolated and desperate, their defeat was unavoidable.

Had the three states (Han, Wei, Chu) cherished their lands, had Qi not allied with Qin, had no assassin been sent (by Yan), and had Zhao’s great general (Li Mu) lived—then the fate of victory or defeat, survival or ruin, might have differed against Qin.

---

Alas! Had they granted the lands (used for bribes) to the realm’s wise counselors, and honored its talents with the devotion shown to Qin, uniting against the west (Qin), then the Qin rulers might have choked on their meals!

How tragic! Possessing such advantage, yet cowed by Qin’s long-building might—day by day carved, month by month severed—they marched toward ruin. Rulers must never be intimidated by accumulated threats!

---

The six kingdoms and Qin were all feudal lords. Though weaker, they *could* have overcome Qin without bribes. Yet if a vast empire today followed their doomed path, it would rank *beneath* those six kingdoms!
Brothers, they don't have to, they can't read or understand Chinese culture, and the values of realism and idealism are not the same.
