I was talking about you; I don't follow Indian elections.

Every time I log in I see various people banned, unbanned, banned, unbanned...

It's like walking past the mystery house in the neighborhood with lights on and off at odd hours.

What instrument(s) do you play, @Nilgiri ? Strings, keys, brass ?

I noodle on regular 6 string guitars sometimes, got a couple of electrics and an acoustic, none of them very fancy ones, plugged into a DAC plugged into the PC and software emulations + sequencer (FL Studio) zindabad.

Amplitube 5 is free, you get a couple of heads, cabs and pedals for free and to keep for all eternity, the rest of their quite vast catalogue of other goodies are free and unrestricted for a few days (72 hours) after which they'll have that white noise interruption thing making them basically unusable.

Great bit of software kit, that.. I'll probably end up purchasing a couple of Mesa Boogies for the heavy stuff and maybe an Orange for a more all rounder type sound.

Since you are back...

Amplitube is great software, my buddy runs it (i think full ver 3) at his place where we jam
I personally have a way older studio-proprietary one (programmed long ago in C++ by a signal proc. geek buddy of mine) that runs on old linux PC and old laptop with the DAW (which already handles most my EQ needs easily) and RME interface I have set up outside of the real amps.

Efficient, low CPU need, works well, directly customizable...i.e if it aint broke, dont fix it etc. I've tinkered it with it further and made a simulink in matlab for it since for library plugins (i can tweak too) for all distortions, effects etc that I don't already have.

It skips a lot of the BS with the newer stuff and their EQ needs/issues and also what they claim to do that a good enough DAW can do anyway.

My (main) instruments:

- Gibson les paul (which i got secondhand for cheap from another friend who didnt want to take it with him during big move)
- Cheap but solid electric yamaha too from earlier
- Two standard acoustics ive acquired/kept over the years, nothing fancy
- A mandolin( again a friend left it with me after he left Canada lul), but the tuning/fingering is all different (its exactly like a violin basically) so it took time for me to learn that somewhat ok.

I'm looking at getting a banjitar, basically banjo with 6 strings and same tuning as guitar....so basically a guitar that has a banjo sound.

I'm wondering if Maula Jatt/Sainthood101 is here? I think he changed his name again but can't remember what was the latest incarnation.

@Tehrani021 yes ?

Very common usage everyday around here, at least at ours.

My folks used to be based in the ME, Jordan, I spent a few years there back in the day as a wee one too. Lovely memories 💖

They do this grapevine leaf wrapped steamed dumpling of sort, divine...this Palestinian granny 👵 neighbour would feed me those, lovely old woman.
