Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

you are right that israel was part of West/GCC alliance that toppled Assad, however the Syrian air force hasnt challenged the Israeli air force since the 1980s. This option of striking Iran via Syria-Iraq has been there since the 2000s.
but now they have 'apna banda' in power thus the legitimacy. there wont be any protest against it in international arena. plus Trump shook his hand. former ISIS, Al Qaeda. One has to question the so called war on terror!

There is no surviving this. This is the last nail on the coffin of the Islamic Republic in Iran.
Either they need to win this war with Israel, which seems highly unlikely, or it's over for them.

Why would it be over for them?

Why would it be over for them?
People will topple the regime, if not the US or Israel.

Security (and anti-Israeli/anti-US rhetoric) were the sole remaining reasons that some people supported the regime and now both are gone.

No, but they do have a No-Intelligence Agency
Looks like they don't have any functional govt. organization...due to lack of accountability.. massive failures on intelligence if they have any..intelligence agency probably don't even keep up with world news.. rest of the world knew israhell was prepping an attack

Israeli air force patrolling approach routes from Iran to head off attacks

At this moment, the Israeli air force is actively trying to hunt down Iranian mobile launchers, mobile sites, and missile storage facilities to try and degrade and destroy Iran’s defensive capabilities, its ability to wage war against Israel.

There will be certain weapons that Iran can use; long-range cruise missiles, which can be fired quickly and travel under radar cover.

This is one of the reasons why the Israeli air force has held quite a lot of its aircraft back because what they are doing is patrolling likely approach routes into Israel in an attempt to try and shoot down any low range drones or low wage cruise missiles, as well as solid fuel missiles that can be launched very quickly for mobile launchers.

The thing is, the Israeli air force is based a long way from Iran. It’s 1,000km (621 miles) before they would even get to the border, so that the Israeli aircraft will have a limited loitering time over Iran.

This is a regime change operation without boots on the ground

That's why you have to fight it out like Hamas in Gaza is. Hamas appeared most prepared for a regime change assault. Which is why they still have a grip on internal security in Gaza and able to mount ambushes on IDF forces.

Why would it be over for them?
Its not "over" for IRI, but it hurts their legitimacy very badly both domestically and internationally. A lot of Muslims admired the IRI for at least resisting Zionist/western domination and others deeply resented IRI for doing same. Its why you see the gloaters all over this forum today, they feel validated in choosing to be cucks of the West.

IRI at a minimum must strike back with multiple waves. Whether they cause damage in Israel or not is irrelevant.

Why would it be over for them?

Governments that lose wars lose legitimacy and then collapse.

IR of Iran is verge of collapse, it has been retreating from the Middle East since 2020 when Solemani was killed.

All of the Axis is dead (HZ, Hamas, Iraqi, Syria militias). Iran is alone. No military aid coming.

Khamenai could be hit next and then it will be a power vacuum.

The commander of the IRGC Air Force, Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Iran overnight, the IDF announces.

According to the military, the top brass of the IRGC Air Force was killed alongside him as they met in an underground command center to prepare to attack Israel.

The command center was struck by fighter jets, the IDF says.

--

what kind of command centre is this so easily destroyed by Israel in the first phase? this is Lebanon playbook to the dot. all the retards meeting in the same bunker and all taken out at once.

now it really does seem that entire IRGC-ASF leadership was killed yesterday.

It seems that Iran has not heard of secure comms and video conference tools. People this important should be spread out over multiple airbases, and they should communicate over closed look secure communication lines.

Not in Iran I see ...

Israel declared war on Iran and continues to attack it's cities and capital.

This won't be a one off deal. It's a open front now.

Iran doesn't have a choice but to fight. It takes some time because some stuff in the background and on the ground in Iran is happening that Iran is currently trying to deal with.

I believe first response will come tonight or tomorrow morning/afternoon.

With no air defences – I bet at present movement – it's being under a watchdog.

Missile platforms will be the next targets – they will not wait for intercepting all the missiles.

That's something to consider next – how many are getting destroyed on the ground, intercepted or successfully hit?

Iran needs to occupy their Air Force with batches/waves of drones. Drones are a effective way to do this. Fire 50-100 every five hours or so.
