Our ground forces are battle hardened due to the insurgincies and our Airforce recently MADE THE INDIAN AIRFORCE GROUNDED FOR 2 DAYS . Indians are very incompetent but India is still the most populous nation in the world. And we also have nukes!. FYI india and Israel jointly planned to conduct an attack our nuclear facilities but the plot was exposed by ISI . Air defences hardened. Airforce readied which made the Israel's and indians give up their plans

Egypt was the first Arab state to sellout to Israel and whole point of its peace treaty was to get on Western payroll and enjoy implicit support for its dictatorship.

The alternative was IDF occupying Cairo as they had already encircled it by the end of the war. Egyptians chose the second best option available to them at that time.
