All military powers in the world spend most of their money on their air force. And here we had idiots who said we cannot afford an air force. So, we should create proxy groups. Where are these proxy groups now?

You have to understand the mentality and psyche of the ruling regime (Islamic Republic) to understand the strange decisions and mindset.

The Iranian army used to be professional army, with elite mentality, maybe Iranian regime should have listened to them, kept them professional, kept themselves to themselves, and have a balanced relationship with everyone, slowly rise as great military and economic power in the middleeast, then make good relations with Turkey Pakistan China, Iran would be untouchable.

i am old enogh to see worse situation when i was there i have seen war of Cities, i seen Tehran getting empty people leaving tehran due to scuds. daily

i have seen Basij /Pasdaran coming to Khomeni in 1982 asking to close the war as they have evicted Iraqis from Iranian Soil and i saw Rafsanjani Forced Khomaini to say no - we will extend.

And i have heard there when special meeting was called in 1988 after Iranian navy was sunk by US and the same rafsanjani asking what do we need? how many aeroplanes/tanks/soldiers? whole armed forces General staff was there.. when reallity was clearly told. he made khomaini agree to ceasefire.

Their anti-Israeli stance is their last remaining pillar. If it falls, next protests will bring them down. Even the IRGC could rise against them next time. And next protests will be very soon if they lose this war in the scale they are losing now.

We can’t build nukes now that Israel controls the skies. If IRI can’t push Israeli planes out, then Iran will become like Syria and IRI will be toppled.

I will say that I am disappointed in Hezbollah not intervening. We should immediately cancel all our financial assistance to them for reconstruction. Iraqis and Yemenis have intervened to strike Israel with us. But not Hezbollah. Strange.
