I bet the Israeli+American plan is to 'degrade' Iran's assets enough before a ceasefire is call and establish a 'new norm' where this was the first chore of 'mowing the grass'. I don't think Americans want a direct, full fledged war despite Netanyahu's wishes. So this could be a compromise between Netanyahu and Trump.
Regime change is unlikely as it looks like Iranians are more united instead.
