Pakistan cannot afford to allow Israel to achieve air superiority over Tehran, as this would grant the Israeli Air Force unchallenged dominance over Iranian airspace, posing a direct and existential threat to Pakistan’s security. Given the proximity between Pakistan and Iran, unrestricted Israeli operations near Pakistan’s western border could embolden future aggression, especially considering Israel’s past attempts to strike Pakistan’s nuclear facilities in 1984 and 1998. If Israel establishes control over Iranian skies, it could not only threaten Pakistan directly but also collaborate with India, creating a dangerous two-front scenario. A militarily dominant Israel in the region could share intelligence, technology, and even coordinate strikes with India, leaving Pakistan vulnerable to simultaneous threats from the east and west. This strategic nightmare would undermine Pakistan’s deterrence capabilities and destabilize the entire region. Therefore, supporting Iran’s air defense is not just an act of solidarity but a vital necessity for Pakistan’s survival. To counter this looming danger, Pakistan must strengthen alliances with Turkey, China, and Russia to bolster Iran’s defenses and ensure that neither Israel nor India can exploit the situation. Failing to act now could lead to an irreversible shift in the regional balance of power, putting Pakistan at the mercy of hostile adversaries. Proactive measures—including joint military exercises, advanced air defense systems, and diplomatic coordination—are essential to prevent this dual threat from materializing.
