This was probably planned months before hand before the escalations and just coincidentally this was the timing, but yes I think he will try and see if there's any possibility for them returning to the negotiation table instead of joining in.

It's not black and white. The present Iranian regime isn't pro-Pakistan either, they already harbour Indian proxies and launch missiles at Pakistan. I'm not going to make another long post detailing IRI's history of sucking up to India again.

Anyway, I literally mentioned -- Gen. Munir can try convincing the Americans to just eliminate Iran's nuclear and military capability instead of going for regime change/balkanization of Iran (which Israelis want).

In my opinion both of you are right, also in my opinion if China is not willing right now to capture territory that it feels belongs rightly to them (Taiwan) why would they want to risk it all by going against the west now for Iran or any other country for that matter? Iran should stop relying on any other country to come to its Defense, you have been under sanctions for 40+ years, you were the only sovereign country (not counting paramilitary groups) who were brave enough to attack Israel and defy USA at every stage and chance you got. You did that all on your own, china was not nearly as powerful 40 years ago, neither was Pakistan, saudis always hated you. So time now to be a n independent country like you were always in my opinion.

I am no one else but I will share my 2 cents
Asim Munir should convince trump to not engage in war.
Asim munir should ask Trump to put pressure on Netanyahu to back off and offer something super nice on plate which he cant rufuse.
Asim munir should engage Iran and trump as mediator and find a solution to stop this craziness.
If Asim lay down like a flat thin paper then remember no one will ever never trust Pakistan.
May Allah give him strength! the one we had with steel spine is in jail.
