The hadith you refer to is the war that happens after the black banners defeat Israel and come after the governance of the Mahdi. In the war referred to the hadith a coalition comprising of all Muslim states will fight. And one third will run,one third die and one third will win. So you are not getting the context right.

What I understood from Ahadith is Black Banners will conquer Al-Quds (& will be allies of Mahdi). An army from Syria (Syrian govt will be takfiris / killer of Muslims esp Qureshi Muslims) will go to fight Mahdi A.S. After defeat of Syrian army, Mahdi, on way to Levant, will also defeat a wealthy ME Tribe/Nation (UAE? Qatar? Kuwait?) & will distribute ghanimat/wealth among his people.

After the ceasefire is signed and nuclear program halted, cut off all funding to Lebanon, let them fight their own wars, just like they told Iran to f*** o**, this is not our problem, just like they told us days ago. Also use that as leverage in talks with the US to let us rebuild conventionally

Immediately sign deals with Pakistan, the only real ally of Iran since 1948, and purchase fighter jets from China

Yes, but there's notable differences this time:

• In the past it was the US public that strongly supported Israel. This time Trump's MAGA base specifically wants him to not support Israel. That might change things
• US does support Israel, yes, but they are also Fed up of Nethanyahoo as Israeli PM. As much as they wanna support Israel, they also want Nethanyahoo to finally fk-off. As he keeps using US compulsion to help Israel for his personal gains. If he does win, he will never leave.

US could have sent 2 B2 Bombers and finished off all Iranian sites in a single go, nobody would have known what hit them. But they have not done it despite Israel pleading for 6 months.

Nethanyahoo then jumped into the war, in hopes US will have to come help them. He has been desperately pounding Fordow Mountain with zero effect, pleading with the US to help him and since 5 days Trump is not listening to him. All the while Tel-Aviv is getting decimated. That never ever happened before. Now either US will do it. Or Trump might let him fail on purpose. Both possibilities are there this time.

As much as I hate Trump and think he is the biggest supporter of Israel EVER as President, he does have some considerations: A chunk of his MAGA base is not pleased with yet American war for anyone; people like Steve Bannon are hard to ignore, if you follow American policies. I used to hate that guy but got to say he's an old school conservative who is indeed America First unlike almost all the Republicans sitting in the Congress acting as the Yes Men of Trump.
Plus one more reason for not a direct involvement by Americans against Iran may indeed be the fear that it would engulf the Middle East in a larger war, destroying much of the global economy with inevitable backlash against Trump in America. Why do that just for a sicko like Netanyahu?

If necessary? What exactly are they waiting for, US involvement?

The biggest weak spot for the US and the West is the danger of a financial crash triggered by panic in the markets. The bulk of the wealth of US and Western elites in tied up in stocks. If the markets crash they’re going to lose a major chunk of their net worth.
