Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

@Persian Gulf I value your posts on here as the most accurate sentiment of the situation. So I wanna ask, how are you feeling now? What’s your level of positivity? What can Iran look to do at this stage?

Israeli news media is mad that Asim Munir may have reportedly advised Trump to avoid attacking Iran directly and discussed the longterm regional instability this would cause.

Literally a day later the White House announced they will delay any decision to attack Iran by 2 weeks.

Interesting.

Israeli "media" has remarkable similarities to Indian "media" these days, minus the bluster perhaps. Both completely paranoid every time a Pakistani even farts.

An Israeli official has said that Iran can likely “sustain the current rate of missile fire at Israel for possibly as long as 5 months, provided that their missile launchers are not destroyed”.

This is first time Isarel is in a war in which the other side is giving an equal response, they are not used to that, they thought with their initial two days strikes they would have iran on it's knees ... oh well they were in for a surprise

This is not “equal response” in fact over the years it’s been Hezbollah who has been the only force capable of hurting Israel. The recent conflict really damaged their infrastructure though.

Israel attacked Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, a nuclear facility about 155 miles (250 kilometers) southwest of Tehran, according to Iranian state media and the Israeli military.

Two projectiles were fired at the facility around 6 a.m. local time, state-run news agency IRIB said. The facility has not been seriously damaged and there is no radiation, it reported.

An Israeli military official confirmed its fighter jets struck the facility, during a series of overnight raids across the country.

“The nuclear reactor in the Arak region of Iran was attacked, including the structure that seals the reactor, which is a main component in plutonium production,” an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson said.

“The attack was carried out against the component intended for producing plutonium, thus preventing its ability to be reused to produce nuclear weapons,” the spokesperson added.

Earlier Thursday, the IDF issued an evacuation warning to residents near the Arak facility, saying: “Your presence in this area puts your life at risk.”

The attack comes almost one week after Israel targeted three Iranian nuclear facilities – Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow – and several top scientists.

Some context: The Arak heavy water reactor was a focus of the 2015 nuclear deal with the US and other powers, because heavy water (or deuterium oxide) can be used to produce plutonium – providing Iran with a second pathway to a potential nuclear bomb, beyond enriched uranium.

Under the deal, Iran was required to redesign Arak into a peaceful research facility which could no longer produce weapons-grade plutonium. However, in the years since and following the US withdrawal, Iran has breached some aspects of the deal and no longer allows UN inspectors to monitor its production or stocks of heavy water.

If true, that means Israel's air defense capabilities have degraded severely. We may start seeing Israeli fighter jets start concentrating on mainly shooting drones and missiles at this point. In other words, this may force Israel to slow down its attacks in Iran.

Unless the US intervenes directly, Iran may be on the verge of winning the attrition war.

Hell, even with a US air intervention, Israel is unlikely to win anyway.

Netanyahu may have lost Israel it's first official war against another national army.

Even killing Khameini won't don't anything at this point.

at a bit of a stalemate

Iran's AD is slowly improving

Israel's defences are being notably degraded

but Israel maintains the upper hand with offensive operations and a large raid in Fordow could change things

US involvement is the wild card but for now I don't think Trump wants to get involved in a big way

What will happen to Netanyahu and his government after all this is over?
Probably re-elected. He is no different from aggressive and merciless Israeli leaders of the past. Its what the electorate wants.

What IF US deep state is fed up with Zionist and they want to end it. They are tired of protecting it and no real value left for USA. It just a damn liability at this point.
there are many zionists jewish that are against existence of the entity... also there are many disordered evangelists that are for preserving the entity, although they hate them, but only Jesus has a mandate to dismantle entity...

but in the end, what will be crucial is fact that they are no longer needed, and ultra-expensive...
