I don't think the US will attack. Trump is just trying to wear down the Iranians with psyops. He will find some other excuse to delay after two weeks.

Disrupting Iran-US dialogue is exactly what the Israelis are looking for. They even tried to assassinate the Iranian FM. By not talking Iran is doing Israel a favour.

Beyond the failure to agree on deal terms, the truth is that neither side was particularly eager about the J-10 transaction. China was concerned about further antagonizing the West — and also some Sunni-majority countries. (Let’s not forget that Iran and Saudi Arabia only restored diplomatic ties in 2023.)

As for Iran, the J-10 wasn’t its only option — and to be honest, it may have been a lower-priority choice compared to others.
