You realize what Israel is, it's a colonial outpost, nothing more
The South of the country is mostly desert with a few towns or kibbutz,

That is an excellent point, always overlooked. IRI and the Shah both were anti-Israel, perhaps to different degrees.
Many Pakistanis also forget the Shah also had cordial relations with Pakistan at the time.
Of course, none of this changes the reality that the modern "quasi-Persian monarchists" lying in wait to snatch Tehran will be virulently opposed to Pakistan and rabidly allied to Tel Aviv.
